Roger produces a bottle of glass cleaner from inside his coveralls aiming it at Stravik. Roger:"Don't make me use this!! I came here looking to play a few games of Astro Chicken and to eat at a Monolith Burger....But you all have neither!!" (to the bartender)"Make me a double Uvula Spritzer, twist of fleck rind, and I want it hacked and whipped, not like one of those shaken or stirred sissy drinks!"

Erika stepped out of the Turbolift as quickly as she could without actually running and walked towards the door at the end of the short corridor. It had been painted to resemble batwing doors and had Second Chance painted on that but, as she approached, the doors acted like all the other ruttin' Federation doors she had met and 'shushed' open to reveal a saloon. OK, it wasn't like any saloon she'd ever been in but the folk who'd designed it had done a fair to middling job. There wasn't any sawdust on the floor and the tables and chairs were pretty much Federation regulation but they had tried. Looking around the room she saw the one-eyed Admiral talking to some other guy at a table while yet another fella was pointing a spray bottle of something at them and he looked crazy enough to actually use it. Erika shook her head and inched towards the bar, careful not to draw the fire of the crazy with the loaded spray bottle.

Reaching the bar she said, “This ain't turnin' out to be one of my best days ever. Gimme a whiskey an' I don't want none of that go tsao de Blue Sun shiong mao niao!”

OCC: What is Erika's RP rank?

(( OOC: Not sure I know what you mean by RP Rank? Her Fleet Rank is Cadet. Her STO Rank is Captain. However, if you mean at what rank am I playing her in the RP section of Serenity Station rather than ingame itself then the following would apply -- I am currently playing her as a relatively new arrival to your 'verse so I would guess that, even though she is the captain of the Miss B. Haven, she is just a Commander. Starfleet promoted her to that rank in order to give her a certain autonomy in her command (read that as keep her away from civilized areas where she appears to be ill at ease and an unsettling influence) but are leery of promoting her to any higher rank (too much power comes with that in their eyes) until she conforms. But they are even more leery of taking her command away from her as she seems to know how to fight and has managed to win over the loyalty of her crew (the local yokels that were originally assigned to her just happened to be Starfleet's misfits -- kind of like the Dirty Dozen but Starship crew-sized). However, her unorthodox methods of warfare mixed with *cough*piracy*cough* (but there is no proof -- honest) and moonlighting as a 'trader' in a Federation Starship has led to her being assigned to Serenity Station in the hopes that she will -- umm, mellow and become an integral, functioning member of Starfleet. So, if I have managed to understand your question, the answer will be Commander ))

IC: Pyriel looks beyond the crazy little man and to the door. Ah Commander , why don't you come join us Captain Jenson here was going to PUT DOWN THE PHASER .Pyriel turns and looks at the little man, what was your name again? This used to be my wife's place till we moved back to Earth and I would hate to get blood on the flood if you know what I mean.

Erika watched as the bartender, as unflappable as all good barkeep's tend to be, placed a glass on the counter. Glancing at it she wrinkled her nose. That'd better not be the whiskey I'm waitin' for, she thought. It looked – well it had something floating in it, for one thing and Erika didn't never want another drink with anything floating in it. She grimaced and looked up at the barkeep who gazed back inscrutably and poured another drink which he placed in front of her before turning to move down the bar after – was that a half-wink he'd just given her?

Erika curled her lips into a small smile and raised the glass to her lips, inhaling the raw scent of distilled malt, before taking a sip and smacking her lips appreciatively.

'Ah Commander, why don't you come join us? Captain Jensen here was going to PUT DOWN THE PHASER.'

The voice came from behind her and she glanced into the mirror behind the bar to see the one-eyed Admiral return to his conversation with the two fellas he was with.

Turning to face them Erika hadn't even noticed that the Captain had been holding any kind of gun at all. Maybe she'd been so surprised at the little guy with the dangerous looking spray bottle that she hadn't paid any attention to anything so inconsequential as a phaser.

'What was your name again?' she heard him ask the bottle guy who, she noticed, had a toothbrush in the hand that wasn't holding the spray gun, 'This used to be my wife's place till we moved back to Earth and I would hate to get blood on the floor, if you know what I mean?'

This place is a ruttin' bughouse, Erika thought, wishing she'd asked for a bottle of whiskey instead of a glass. So much for trying to make a good impression -- everyone's loony here.

She raised her glass in a salute and walked slowly towards the three men, making sure not to get in the line of fire of either the phaser, or the spray bottle.

“Admiral,” she said amiably before looking at the Captain, “Captain – Jensen,” and then turning her attention to the bottle man.

With a smile she indicated the spray bottle with her glass, “Y'all need to check the safety. It ain't gonna fire less'n y'all take the safety off. 'sides, I do b'lieve your drink's on the bar an' y'all can't drink with a toothbrush in one hand an' a, uhh, dangerous weapon in t'other now, can ya?”

Roger dosen't taks his eyes off Stravik as he responds to Pyriel's question. Roger: "I am Roger Wilco I am a janitor from the planet Xenon of the Earnon system.
Narrator:"It's you--Roger Wilco: Space Guy."

Well Rodger I think if you sit your spray bottle down we can ha e a conversation over a drink or maybe something to eat.

Roger places the spray bottle back inside his coveralls. He than resumes busing the tables. Roger: "Not to worry I'll have this place shinning like...well something that shines. In no time!"

Pyriel sighs and shakes his head. SO Erika how do you like or little slice of the verse so far?

Erika sat in a chair and placed her glass on the table top, gazing into the amber liquid as she contemplated the admiral's question. Sure, to her way of thinking this really was a crazy place but, when all was said and done, if the folk from hereabouts were to find themselves lost in her 'verse they'd like as not feel the same way she did now.

She smiled and raised an eyebrow as she looked up at Pyriel, "Well, Admiral, all's I can say for sure is it's -- int'restin'. Diff'rent than my neck of the cosmos, for sure, but int'restin' nonetheless. Yanno, 'til I found myself here I ain't never thought faster'n light drives was much more'n an engineer's pipedream." She shrugged before saying, "I guess your engineer's had better dreams."

She grinned and added, "Once I get Miss B.'s holes patched up we'll take us a ride around the block an' get acquainted with the neighbors."

She raised her glass to her lips and tilted her head back, tipping the contents into her mouth where she swilled the liquid around before swallowing it. Lowering the glass back to the table she exhaled and made a wry smile. "Sure is better'n that Blue Sun go se we had afore we was et by that wormhole."

Pyriel looks over at Stravik who is still pointing his phaser at the odd little man cleaning the tables. Well this place gets more and more interesting as you live here . I myself am 108 years old, I may look completely human but as we all know looks can be deceiving. My Father is an El-Aurian and my mother was human Pyriel smiles ans stands up and heads behind the bar and grabs a bottle from under the counter and grabs a pitcher of sweet iced tea out of the fridge and sits back down at the table. He pushes the bottle over to Erika and pours himself a large glass of Iced tea drinking it down. He eyes Erika seeing that she might have questions and sits his now empty glass back down. Ok i now you have questions and you are trying to be polite . Please, ask me anything hell I might tell you the truth you never know, he smiles like a predator and pours himself another glass of tea .

Erika squinted her eyes and pursed her lips as the Admiral stood up and strode to the bar. 108 years old and not fully human? Bughouse, her brain screamed at her. He didn't look like someone more'n a century old. Hell, sure he was old, well, older'n her anyway, much older'n she was really but, c'mon, 108? That put him way past his best by date. An' his dad was a – what? El-somethin'? Sounded Arab to her an' Arabs was human. 'Least in the 'verse – her 'verse they was. They done come from Earth-That-Was same as anyone else. OK, maybe she oughtta humor these loonies, get the Miss B. skyworthy again an' then hightail it outta here. She was sure she could find a sane planet somewhere. Well, OK, maybe not a sane one, seein' as how just 'bout everyone she'd met so far was crazy but maybe a mite saner than the one's she'd been to so far. Granted that was just some place called Vega – Vega 9, to be accurate – where she had her second run-in with them Borg fella's an' then Earth or some place as the folk livin' there was callin' Earth. An' then there was that planet that she found when she got lost tryin' to find this Station. She didn't know the name of it but it was where she was ambushed by those really cool lookin' ships that looked like giant birds 'cept'n they didn't flap their wings. Uhh, they didn't flap their wings but they almost made sushi outta the Miss B. before she figured out how to use those phaser beam guns the ship had. Shen-sheng de gao-wan, but that was some light show she gave 'em.

Her reverie was broken when the one-eyed Admiral returned and slid a bottle towards her before pouring himself something from a pitcher. She lifted the bottle and read the label, 'Saurian Brandy'. She had no idea where Sauria was, or even if Sauria was a place, but if they made brandy – hopefully a decent one - they couldn't be bad folk, could they? She pulled the cork and poured herself a shot, raising an eyebrow again, certain this was going to lead to a permanent nervous tic, as he asked her if she had any questions to which he may answer truthfully.

“Well, Admiral,” she began, “I'm figurin' that most folk round here are bu-tai zheng-chang de an' that's OK by me, really. Ain't ever'one as can have all their marbles, right? So, OK, a question -,” she paused and took a sip of the brandy, smacking her lips appreciatively as she told herself to leave his age out of it, that was 'twixt him an' his conscience, “- in my 'verse we got us some mean kinda folk as we call Reavers an' I guess they's a mite like your Borg fellas. Now I been up agin them Borg an' I just 'bout pulled through – they put me in some peril for a whiles but I'm still here an' I ain't asmi-- assilim-- changed none by 'em. An' then I had me a run in with some folk's as flew boats shaped like birds. Now, they did me some damage too, an' that's what I'm here to fix afore I head back to the Black. So my question is, when I get back out there what all can I expect to find? I mean, who's gonna be tryin' to kill me this time 'round? Admiral Quinn talked up a storm but, to be honest with ya, I didn't understand much of his story-tellin'. He talked 'bout some Klingy folk, and some Romans or somethin', an' I'm sure he said Onions but maybe we had a miscommunication there? An I got me a tour an' I met me some little fella with big ears as wanted to buy some kinda cow off me. Truthfully, I ain't never even heard of an oomox afore but he sure seemed keen on me getting' him one. Yanno, that Earth Station place is sure filled with some strange lookin' folk but they all seemed friendly enough. I guess I just wanna know who ain't. Friendly, that is?"

Pyriel smiles, I'm seeing your not from our Universe , so I guess let me give you this , he takes out a padd and sits it on the table . He then taps his com badge , computer Down load all hostel species to this Padd and please download federation history from oh, the founding of the Federation and Starfleet to Now. Also add in all known species in known space.

Pyriel pushes the Padd over to Erika, here you go this should help with things . So what else you want to know?

Erika rested her fingertips on the PADD that Pyriel slid her way and smiled. "Xiexie, Admiral. I'm sure this'll come in mighty useful."

If I ever figure how to work the gorram things prop'ly, she thought wryly.

"There is one other thing y'all might tell me?"

She glanced at the strange tableau around them and puffed out her cheeks.

"Why was the Captain an' the, uhh, li'l fella here, <indicating Roger as he wiped down the tabletop> havin' themselves a showdown? I mean, I've been in places where this kinda thing happens but they usually end in an exchange of lead an' at least one fella requirin' the services of a sawbones or an undertaker. This a reg'lar happenstance hereabouts?"

If it was, maybe there'd be some fun to be had here after all, she thought.

Roger satisfied that the tables are clean makes his way over to a closet. He goes inside and comes out on a ride on floor buffer. Roger: (to the floor buffer) "Now Gloria I know we have had our problems before. But we have a job here that needs to be done so lets just do it!" The machine is surprisingly quiet despite it size it emits a low level hum as Roger slowly makes his way across the floor.
Narrator:"You drool in that general direction, but no one notices."

Pyriel once again looks over to the little man cleaning and shakes his head . So Erika what do and your crew have planed while your ship in is for repair?
