Good Afternoon, my name is Captain William Bridgeman of the USS Quastinet, requesting to join the Firefly Fleet and serve aboard Serenity Station.

Currently my ship is a Constitution Class; Medical Refit. We can do anything from repair vessels to heal wounds. Our ship and it's crew tend to be loaned out to other ships for Medical Support purposes so it's not unusual for our crew to be distributed within a fleet for training or combat. My hopes are to expand into other Medical Vessels as they become available.

Currently I have training in Medical and in Small Squad Tactics.

I am a funny guy, I like to find humor in situations that I know are stressful and make people loosen up. However, I know when things need to be serious and I conduct myself as such. I got into Star Trek when I was in the Marine Corps. My roommate made me sit down and watch all the seasons of TNG and we did so, making a whole month of it. I craved more and really appreciated how the technology advanced through the years, ex: TOS, TNG etc. The other thing that got me was the military structure which the series held to. It was cool to see how a ship was run.

My goal is to serves as a Medical Officer on the station.

Other games I have played: World of Warcraft, Starfleet Command, D20 games, HALO, Command and Conquer, Jane's 688i Hunter/Killer submarine simulation.

Biography:
Captain Bridgeman grew up on the USS Ilco with his father, Robert Bridgeman, a Medical Officer aboard the ship. Robert Bridgeman retired as a Rear Admiral from the Starfleet Medical Academy. Captain Bridgeman had all the opportunites to follow in his father's footsteps but chose his own destiny. Instead he enlisted in the SFMC, reaching the rank of Sergeant. His Career Retention Counselor, Lt. Miller, discovered that Bridgeman had long ago qualified to go to the Starfleet Academy for commission as an officer. He advised the hesitant Bridgeman that it would help him fullfill his life goals of leading men and women.

Bridgeman accepted reluctantly and separated from the SFMC under honorable discharge. He attended Starfleet Academy and despite being older than his classmates, he gained their respect and those of the instructors, who held him at a higher standard then his inexperienced peers. Bridgeman was a jack of all trades in the academy, he was good at everything but excelled at nothing. However, as the class began running Security and Medical classes, Bridgeman took to these quickly and using his previous experience quickly took the lead as an instructor in many cases. The instructors noticed his abilities and realizing Starfleets need for Medical Officers recommended him for the Starfleet Medical Academy where he graduated with honors.

Dr. Bridgeman was assigned to the USS Salvation as Medical Officer where he gained a reputation for being a crude (due to his Marine experience) yet effective officer. As the Klingon conflict escalated, Starfleet dug through it's personnel database to create more combat and support vessels. Due to this Dr. Bridgeman was to receive a promotion to Captain and assigned as C.O. of the USS Quastinet upon successfully completing the trials set forth by his C.O. Captain Hollins. He completed the trials with flying and colors and with full support of Captain Hollins, Dr. Bridgeman reported for duty aboard the USS Quastinet.

The Quastinet is a Medical Refit, Constitution Class ship. Although aging, the ship was found suitable for it's medical support role and to the surprise of the dockworkers Captain Bridgeman loved it at first sight. His new complement of men and women made the vessel ready for service and set out for Serentiy Station.

I already have an entire race with a deep background etc... in NS I played as the entire race, not just one character or ship.. but this should be a nice change. They're highly diplomatic, and have an interesting technology... most of the major tech is wholly original, and you can find deeper explanations at the link above until I can finish porting all the relevant stuff to this forum. And, umm... in case you're wondering... I make all my own ships. All my images are copyright me ^_^

RP Experience... umm.. yeah, I've been playing RPs since I was ...12? I'm 25 ^_^ Everything from Wheel of Time MUD, to Star Wars games, to star trek, WoW, most recently and for the longest time NationStates.

Good Morning, Gentlemen;

I am Jace Sa'Fyre, commander of the RMF Riplakish. My crew and I have been assigned to establish relations with the Federation presence in the sectors of the galaxy maintained by the Firefly Fleet stationed at Serenity Station. While we are not yet fully-fledged members of the UFP, we are fully authorized and autonomous, permitted and encouraged to join your fleet in whatever degree you will have us. We are a civilian crew, maintaining a small militia and air group, and we have a growing reputation among the coreworlds as a highly diplomatic and philisophical people.
The Riplakish is a Kryptonite class vessel, developed by Raysian Aerospace's Adamworks development group. She's built for atmospheric flight and relies heavily on kinetic and ion-based weaponry. While space is a secondary function, she performs quite admirably... though very differently than most other ships in Starfleet... a fact which I'm sure we'll be able to discuss more fully at a later time. Her role tends to be tactical, but not a tank... she can deal damage, maneuver quick, but can't take a ton of hits. The Rip may look huge (810 meters) but she's built like an airship, so there's a lot of space filled with equipment vital to functions, without having a large operations crew (just over 300).

My personal skills that I bring are many. I make a respectable commander, but I actually received my education in Aerospace Engineering, minoring in Interstellar Relations. I have arranged many cease-fires, trade agreements, non-aggression pacts, and alliances. We are still pretty new to the interstellar scene, but we're looking to grab all the allies we can.

Position to be filled could easily be something in diplomacy or in tactics, or in engineering new technologies for the fleet... or all of the above! I may also be interested in your starfighter program, as my ship comes with a compliment of gunships.

As for my service record, well, I can't say I have much. I was elected as commander of the Riplakish, and frankly she's my first command. I've taken her into several battles, and my crew and I have been exploring many new aspects of combat strategy and weapons usage. I was working as an operations officer aboard one of Raysia's first spaceborne vessels... back when we discovered spaceflight. Long story short, we Raysians have a bit of a backwards history... we actually discovered interplanetary travel before we ever even reached outer space! Again, I'd be happy to share more of our history in person. I've served as the commander of this ship for two years now, and they've been two very intense years. I feel like I have the whole galaxy ahead of me to explore, and I'm anxious to compare notes with the federation.

As I don't have much else in the way of service history, I will attach some commendations:

Commander Sa'Fyre has done more for our international relations than the last 3 government presidents combined. He is an excellent candidate for the Firefly Fleet, stationed at serenity station.

When I met Jace and the Riplakish, I was certain we found a new enemy we boarded their vessel and he actually managed to keep his crew from getting hostile. We're not the most benevolent race out there in the galaxy, but when we saw his reactions to our aggression, we couldn't help but apologize for the whole incident. He can turn an interstellar crisis into an alliance inside of a month! I'd strongly advice letting this fine man join your fleet, his whole crew with him.

I'm a long-time gamer and fan of SciFi, especially Firefly, and your fleet definitely caught my eye. I'm not typically one to look to join a guild before a game is actually released, but I've found that how well I get along with someone often correlates with how well they like Firefly! So I figured I'd give this a go.

I'm not a huge role-player, but I do enjoy it somewhat and always appreciate other's work, especially character back-stories. More than just a good, friendly gaming atmosphere though, I'm looking for a bit of a home and getting to know people beyond just their avatar. I've lurked around your site for bit, and so far I've liked what I've seen. I look forward to meeting you all.

I have a lot of large group raiding experience (especially WoW), but frankly still feel burnt out on that and don't care much to repeat it. From what I've seen though, it doesn't look like that will be a large part of STO anyway.

as far as RP goes not much but I would like to give it a try. but consider it a work in progress. For ship class I was considering the Defiant Hull because that was always my favorite but I will decide for sure once I have had a chance to play quite a bit. I do know that with Eve Online I have been mostly PVP orientated with some industry skills as well. I don't know how well that will translate to STO but I am fairly good with tactical thinking in general so i think I will do good with this. I am generally an all around good guy but I am also a bit of a renegade much in the fashion of Mal and Jayne. I'm a little more Smart and Loyal then Jayne is though.
