A natural medic who found that she shared an affinity with life sciences, Saaith was poised to become a physician when pressure to marry from her family caused her to apply for joining. Having already joined Starfleet because of a mother who meddled too much in her life, her field docent suggested a change to Command Track following the incident aboard the USS Khitomer, and with the encouragement of Admiral Quinn, Saaith eventually came to the decision that she would try the command track. Her main focus has been in exploration and diplomacy, but Hecate has also been involved in the Borg Special Task Force. Although not experienced enough to run the STF, she is capable of being a contributing team member.

My first game was pong. Made text games on tandy (booted to basic prompt) back in the day. I fear my pac-man blisters will never go away. Muds (Avalon and many others,) Zork, wolf3d, doom, heretic, hexen, doom2, quake, quake2 loki's minions mod ctf, Meridian 59, SubSpace, ultima online (3 years,) Everquest (8 years,) WoW (1 year,) DAoC (6 months,) Darkfall (6 months,) Age of Conan (3 months,) Final Fantasy XII (10 months,) Shall I stop now? I shall, mentioning the remaining (free) games I've played seems excessive.

I've only discovered the STO Universe less than two months ago and I'm absolutely thrilled to be here! It's been years since I've been so pleased with a game. That being said; It took about a month for me to reach VA and get Borg gear. Since then I've enjoyed repeating the STF's (cure is my favorite I'm enjoying PvPing with pick up groups, but would love to make friends to PvP with. I've yet to see much of the fleet events, which I'm greatly anticipating.

OOC: My first preoccupation with authors conveying meaning similar to Gene Roddenberry's at the age of ten (T.H. White, not sci fi, but social utopia). It wasn't until my later teen years that I found Roddenberry's message and began delving into his works. I had the virtue of living (and growing) while he was alive producing. I can recall cold nights on the roof of the math/compsci building in college, cowering against the exhaust vents, watching the newest TNG episode on my watchman (was the only place i could get reception lol). I watch several TNG episodes daily, now while doing daily missions. STO was wonderful too, but Roddenberry's greatest works imo lie in his TNG efforts. But, I may be biased by the Star Trek course I took in college :/ The prof. was not shy with his assertions.
As for the non-Roddenberry works, I'm coming to greatly enjoy Enterprise; however, I've not watched enough to discuss anything other than it's entertainment value. I've yet to seriously watch voyager, but I will.

I'm looking for a cooperative community to contribute to and participate in.

<edit> I arrived at Firefly Fleet at the recommendation of a friend (also in the application process). I'm thankful for the recommendation. The ethics posted on Firefly Fleet's site are in line with my own, and upon reading these forums I can see Firefly Fleet is a well developed global community in the Star Trek Online Universe to which I'd very much like to become a part of. <end edit>

Originally from Oxfordshire, UK, Lt Cdr Aubrey is the middle child of a mother whom only herself retired from Starfleet Corp of Engineering last year, having a long and successful career in Advanced Propulsion Research. His father was a diplomat who ascended the local political structures of Earth, eventually rising to the Federations representative board for the homeworld of Terrans, before passing away at the age of 68.
Both families have a long history of military/ fleet service, dating back many hundreds of years in the case of the Aubrey side. Mr Aubrey graduated from Starfleet Academy with the hope that his first assignment would provide a good grounding in a tactical career, however the Borg attack on the Vega forced him early into a Command role.

Far from this characters Tactical roots, in real life I am a Doctor, as well as an Army Reservist in the UK, with real life knowledge of tactics and leadership skills, that sadly don’t translate very well into general gaming. For me STO is a good release valve for a hectic real life. Had a love of Sci-Fi for most of my life, with the Star Trek movies providing early fodder. Also a variety of intrests from Rugby to military history and literature (hence the O’Brian-esque tilt to this character).

I am Senior Business Analyst Contractor by trade, having worked for a variety of large multinational clients. I love Sci-Fi with Star Trek providing the early fodder and am still in disbelief that Firefly didnt even get to complete a full season thanks to Box Networks!

Cyara of the U.S.S. Zenoius-B offering her duty's to this awesome fleet (it must be awesome, since it's named after FIREFLY). My crew and I have much respect toward the Firefly-crew, how they handled situations and their sense to duty, to do what is right, to help each other no matter what (do I need to continue? Nahh).

Once threatened by a Ferengi-trader (who stated I was a racist, claiming that I only cared about my own human species) the issue was investigated by a Federation council, which judged there was a lack of evidence, and since I had a clean service record, the case was dropped. I took some well-deserved short leave after this, by request of my first officer who stated that I had been defending the federation like good old cpt. Picard would have done (quite a restless fellow, that man. You had to *force* him to take short leave).
Although my first officer did a great job in my absence (really, he deserves a command of his own), I have returned since my loyal crew began to miss me.

After deliberation with my bridge officers about how to proceed in the future, we'd like to join a fleet. My eye quickly fell upon your fleet (Serenity Ö Firefly ö )

She has her heart on the right place, follows orders given by trusted commanders without hesitation, helps the underdogs and is a voice for those who are not heard by the Federation. There's has only been one command she did not follow: "Abandon ship" (while U.S.S. Zenoius-A crashed during a space combat with three Klingon Bird of Prey). She did survive the crash and was later on rescued.

From that moment on, Star Trek was "the" series for me (and actually still is). While I don't have *real stuff* like costumes, hand phasers, or Vulcan ears; the S.T.-series boxes on my shelf prove how passionate I am towards ST. I've played STO for quite some time back in the day you had to pay a monthly fee for it.

Hello Cyara! And welcome to Serenity station and Firefly fleet! I am glad you found us! We are a laid back fleet with deep roots dating long back before STO even launched. Before STO launced we occupied our time with RPing, some of those still run to this day. If this would be something you would be intrested in that please head over to the RP academy and sign up.

I suppose that the invitation can only be send in-game, correct? We are facing the very interesting fact of time zones (since I live in Europe), but I'm sure we can arrange an official meeting! I'm actually looking forward to it. If you can give me a time which suits you (don't mind me, I also play during nights ), and the time zone you are in; I can calculate which hour I have to make sure to be online.
