Hello, I'm Rear Admiral Brownstockall, a Bibliothan. We are a race of readers. Books are our passion and we spend a lifetime accruing piles and roomfuls of our favorite tomes.
My ship, the greatest love of my life, is the U.S.S. MILLICENT, a modified Sol Class RSV. I have equipped her to handle the toughest towing jobs and other types of space SAR cases.
I have been privileged to serve as a Science Officer in Starfleet for many years, although my real passion is history, most notably Earth's nautical history from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
I am a veteran officer who never backs down from a challenge and I believe I possess a good deal of STF experience.
I would be willing to fill any position my superiors in the fleet require.

I am not a young gamer with a great deal of experience in computer games, but have a bit of experience with Starfleet Command I-III and D&D games.

I have been playing STO since its beginning and have had numerous VA characters in all 3 of the career fields. I do not play STO to try to be the biggest, baddest, ship-destroyer on the block. That's not my idea of fun. I believe in quality playing time, not how mighty I can make my avatar or his ship.

As I stated I am not a young player by any stretch of the imagination. I have been a Trekkie for more than 40 years, and a Browncoat for 12 (Although I feel I have been a Browncoat all of my life!).

I am a retired military man with over 30 years experience in Maritime Search and Rescue. I have looked a long time for a way to tie together my love for Star Trek, Firefly, and the fulfilling duties of helping the underdogs. If you believe my philosophy of STO would fit your fleet's core ideals, I would be honored to do be a part of your shiny 'verse.

Yes, I have dabbled in roleplaying before. I always like to give my STO characters at least a little biographical background, it enhances the gameplay for me. By the way, thanks for the quick reply!

Great question. For TOS, my favorite has always been Scotty. Not because I'm into engineering myself, but because of the attitude he always displayed. He more than any other character was in love with his ship and would gladly pummel anyone who insulted her in any way. When Kirk and Spock were gone playing their games on the planets, it was always Scotty who minded the store and stuck to his guns when needed. His speech in the Enterprise Incident to the Romulans who were demanding his surrender was always one of my favorites. He was dependable, reliable,and honorable. Plus it never hurt that he liked an occasional slug of Scotch.
A close second would be Miles O'Brien. The guy could easily have been Scotty's son.

For Firefly, I'd be lying if I didn't say Mal. In a real world that offers next to nobody to look up to these days, Jos Whedon was spot on with this character. I won't give you the long story here, just suffice to say Mal and the Serenity came along at a time in my life that, to say the least, was when I badly needed something to believe in. Almost all of the ideals I had lived up to all of my adult life were stepped on and battered by people who would fit right in with the Alliance. I could try to list all the reasons for you, but I'll just sum it up in the one line that stands out for me above all the other great lines:"May have been the losing side, still not convinced it was the wrong one."

So what do you like to play when you're in game?

Lately I've been busy bringing my last character, Brownstockall, up to VA rank. Just got there a couple of nights ago. Now concentrating on refitting the MILLICENT with the best gear I can get. As soon as I can get into a fleet I plan on gathering enough fleet credits and ship modules to buy the fleet version of my ship. When I'm just goofing around in the game I like to try the newer missions, but also once and a while replay the traveling back in time missions like "Everything old is new" and "Night of the comet."

Ok that sounds like fun, if you had an issue with a another member of the fleet how would you handle it?

Hopefully in the friendliest, most mature fashion. That means between the two of us. Simple, quick, and without broadcasting it so everyone can pitch in their 2 cents. If that way wouldn't work for the other member, and if I thought it was serious enough, than I would have to take it up the chain, but would still prefer to handle the problem at the lowest level possible. Guess I'm a bit old-fashioned, but that's the way I'm built and have taken care of disagreements my entire adult life.

NP on the question iv got alot on RL going on right now i try to get on the sight every day but its been some time since iv been on sto it been on pause but the form RP is what i first loved about this fleet before the game even launched. iv played DND for many year and it always nice to play with people that play a charater not just find a way for the numbers to be good and pwoerfull. im not thinking of any other qeastion right now but some might come to me and pyreil may have more but we( the admirals) will talk soon and should give an green light on you joining

Not trying to be a wiseguy here, but it has been awhile on this. Did the Alliance attack and steal the paperwork?

I'm sorry i apologize that this has happened i just told harebrained she could add you to the fleet so welcome to serenity station. i feel we own you an expatiation too. officially when the fleet was rebooted with me lastline and pyriel as leaders we said we wanted 3 leaders or 3 admiral to gave a ok for new members in one of the discussion form we have that only admirals or above can see on the web sight. it was not a problem before 3 active leaders and we some time get other admiral chiming in too. me and pyriel and bout given the ok their but something in real life or some thing iv not see lastline on in a long time. and the rear admiral or other admiral have not been posting or responding like they should. on top of that iv not been in game only the forms for many months i stoped to place adifferant game and now that iv put that on hold to come back to STO real life been keeping me from gaming. and i guess pyiel is busy too or he would of got to it. i apologies again that it took this long but harebraind should do it soon and i hop to meet you in game when i get time to get back to gaming.

if any other admirals are reading this this the big problem we face when adding new members and promotions your input as leaders in the fleet is need here on the forms not just flying a ship around the game
