In-Character Application:
Right, the name is Vayren Neyon, of the U.S.S. Bore... God I hate that name. I call 'er Bob, but for some reason the ship shudders every time I say it. I am, ah... Formally requesting to join the Firefly Fleet and serve with the fine crew of Serenity Station. Hopefully she's not held together with duct-tape like my own boat.
The video link shows the officers quarter shake violentlyO.K. Bob, I get the picture! You don't like the new injection ports we salvaged from the Ferengi ship! I get it!
The ship slowly stops shaking.Ah, right... Qualifications? Letsee... Well, I'm an Fixer. Scratch that. "Engineer." Pretty dang good with a phasic weilder and only shocked myself 4 times rebuilding this console. Been at this about 8 or 9 grades and don't plan to give it up anytime soon.
The video gives out for a moment, returning upside-down and purpleGorramnit, I thought those new chipsets were still good... Ah, smoke it; I'll keep going. Well, included with this hopefully visual transmission is a basic copy of my service record, a few references, and a BBQ'd Tribble. Pretty good with some ranch, but hey; I'm no chef.

-----Service Record of "Captain" Vayren Neyon----
Summarized Biography:
Born Human to parents Joeseph and Natanya Karezenski of Vidolsk, Russia, on Earth in 2378. Graduated the University of Moscow at 19 within the top 5% of his Engineering Class. It should be noted that of the graduating 114 students, 24 were killed in work-related accidents along-side multiple injuries sustained (Vayren himself included), setting a record in the schools history.
Enlisted in the Starfleet Academy 2299, excelling in the Engineering Corps, specializing in energy systems and manipulation. Built a stun-phase turret from scratch as a senior project, which in turn targeted every Human (himself, Captain Murphy, and Admiral Centuro included) and "administered a painful slap at groin level." Non-Humans were left unharmed.
In 2401, serving aboard the U.S.S. Harbinger, a medical emergency involving the Trill Darius Neyon occured. Due to being already in med-hold from a battle-related injury, was asked to become host to the Trill symbiote. The symbiote bonded successfully and (with many thanks from the Engineering team) "fixed his problem" of work-related injuries and mis-haps, but not without new side-effects; he won't stop working. New warp coil directional manifolds, dilithium chamber pressurizers, phase-array conduction grids... The list goes on.
In current (2409) he was battle-commissioned to the rank of Lieutenant and given the U.S.S. Bore, a near-museum piece of a ship, under orders from Admiral Quinn.

Out Of Character Information
Well, I always hate writin' these; always seem to forget somethin'. I'm a sci-fi nerd, through and through. Loved Firefly and saw Serenity in theaters at Midnight. Star Trek may have been my first love, but damnit I'm a sci-fi polygamist and I love Firefly too! XD
If you haven't figured it out by now, I'm here to have fun, RP, and get a few laughs. I got a bit of a rough life right now, so I need all the fun I can get.
I'm former USAF, 3 years, medical discharge.
Focused mostly on DPS'ing the crap out of my ship and giving my ground-pounder the ability to lay down a lot of fire without making himself a target (turrets anyone?). I am no leader type, but am a good soldier.
Ship's a pre-order bonus ship, a TOS Constitution class.
Other Games: Borderlands, Dead Space, Mass Effect 1 & 2, Star Trek Legacy, The Matrix Online, EVE Online (never again..!!), Halo series, Gears series, just about anything on the PS1. I could go on for days.
Favorite Sci-Fi (In no particular order): Star Trek, Firefly, Babylon 5, Jeremiah, SeaQuest DSV, Star Wars,
Books: Night Watch. Been reading that alot lately and need to get the last 2 books Dawn Watch and Twilight Watch.
