Romulan faction

In terms of our Star base I think we have done a fine job. We are not a big fleet. And we have many members taking a break to either handle R/L projects, or play other games. If you've been on Starbase one lately many smaller fleets are begging larger fleets to add them into their ranks. Or a fleet with our progress is going up for sale for energy credits.

I agree with Reanna that it would be nice to have a place to call home. That being said if any member would like to take their Romulan and join another fleet that is perfectly fine.

Well it looks like it's a moot point in terms of fleet/starbases. In the newest ask cryptic ( http://sto.perfectworld.com/news/?p=852601 ) they say that the romulans, while being their own faction, will ultimately have to ally with either the feds or the klingons in the course of their advancement. That choice is permanent, and once made they get access to the fleets and some other goodies of their chosen faction. In pvp and such they'll fight on the side of the faction they choose.

there is no way that i am going to another fleet. if i cant keep my Romulan aligned with Serenity in some way then he/she will be a lone Romulan, an outlaw.

According to the recent interview with DStahl there will be no Romulan fleets. You will play your Romulan character to level 50 at which point you will choose to ally yourself with either the Federation or the Empire. At that point your Romulan would become a member of Firefly or The Reavers accordingly. You will also gain access to selected Fed or Klingon ships and costume options as well as the Romulan ships and costumes.

Ohhh I like the sound of that and that sounds like no problem at all, I'm quite intrigued and look even more forward to the Romulan expansion.

Well, its a foregone conclusion then as to which side my Romulan character, Sienna Aloi will be joining. Feds and SERENITY!! woot!!

I too was quite glad to hear that these New Romulans would ultimately attach to either the Feds or Klinks. "There's no place that I can be, since I've found Serenity"
