I am currently Commanding a Miranda Class Light Cruiser however i fully plan on taking command of a Constitution class cruiser.

Background:
Kallo Was born on earth in a small town outside of Atlanta Ga. Had always dreamed of Being the one of the prestigious heros of starfleet, The Best of The best. As a young adult he joined starfleet as a Tactical officer. However instead of a hero he was a lowly security officer. Takeing on small tasks like guarding the brig, escorting Command crew on possibly "hostile" peace talks. He was now among the ranks of countless brave men and women known in the tactical community as "Red Shirts".
But once Ensign Duncan's Ship was engaged in a conflict with the borg he was unexpectedly pushed into command of his ship. The Athena now commanded by Duncan is ran by the quote of the 20th Century President Ronald Regan: "Peace Through Strength."

Team player with limited game time but works towards guild/fleet initaitves including farming tokens for access quests. Been the healer, not looking forward to that role again.

I've just been playing the STO open beta and I'm really digging ship combat. Not that great at ground combat though. In COH I was a scrapper, which meant diving into fights and taking on the meanest baddy one on one. I plan to fly a tactical ship with as big alpha strikes as possible, lots o' pew pew pew, flying recklessly into combat.

Background:
Not much to tell. Orphaned by war, captured by Orion's. Grew up on one freighter or the other. became a shuttle pilot at the age of 12. Never really settled down. Ended up being stranded on a traders world where I was picked up by a star fleet science vessel and was recruited into Star Fleet Academy with the help of my Capt. 4 years later they let me have this shiny ship.
My new mission was to travel out here and help out.

Hi. Dr Weaver brought me here, as we have been acquainted from previous work, but I guess I should announce myself formally to the rest of you.

Hello Duckdee how are you, that is good that Dr Weaver brought you here, I saw also that Dr Weavr was here on the forum brifly I think it would've been nice perhaps she had wriiten a post somewhere I think.

Oh well welcome the forums.

Well, let's just say yesterday wasn't my best captain-y day. First the Klingons showed up, and we all seemed to hold our own handily against them.

Then came the chou ma niao Borg, and after the 8th or 9th time they made my ship explode, I woke up after a bunch of heroic resuscitation to find a couple raised gray lumps on my upper left arm. Now I get to decide: Amputate and hope the regrowth takes... or submit to my science officer's decidedly experimental treatment where he assures me I may not necessarily end up "entirely Borg" -- whatever that means. I still think Mr Hands of Blue (and everywhere else, I checked) is laughing at me. I can tell: His antennae quiver when he's hiding something.

Anyway, here I am, without a ship and Starfleet says even my ID records have been lost. All they have is my extended clan name: "Kadera". I may go with that when they let me re-register; if not, that'll still be how I can be found, whatever other name I may have to wear.

As for my trade, I'm a traditionalist: I'm an Engineer and I like cruisers. Had me an Excalibur Tier 2 before the Borg turned it into so much green-glowing scrap metal. My modified fore-and-aft torp/phaser combos were pretty effective, but not against Borg transphasic shields. I'll likely go the same route (Eng/Cru), as I have an affinity for gadgets, thick hulls, big engines, and large crews to clean up after my mistakes. I prefer exploration and assistance missions, but when faced with a fight, my crew and I will finish it. We don't go much for seeking out trouble, and usually stay away from the disputed KDF zones...but trouble does seem to have a habit of finding us.

I'm willing to help those whose ships are less capable than my own, and rather enjoy sometimes getting together with small groups to "get things done." Consider me one who likes to share information learned and a possible mentor/teacher to others. Give me and my crew a little in the victuals, and we've been known to spin some pretty tall tales.

Anyway, I hope you'll look favorably on my application here. Meantime, I need to see if my Andorian quack has some anti-itch ointment.

As far as the CC or healing playstyle, in all my hears of playing MMOs, from UO to STO, I have never once played a supporting class beyond what support a hunter/ranger ranged DPS type. I'm a science geek IRL though and figured to give it a try here in STO and am in absolute love with it.

I feel I have a good understanding of science and how to use STOs science skills tactically. Though years ago I earned the nickname "Rash" due to my paying squishy characters who tended to just jump into the fray of things without thinking, using chaos as a favorite tactic;) So as far as positions within the fleet, I'll surely try to refrain from such rash behavior and try to keep up CC.

Previous games...well thats a good long list. Been playing MMOs before UO if you count MUDs. Then as far as mainstream MMOs, UO, EQ, DAoC, SWG, AC, AO, WoW, WAR, AoC, EQ2, FE, VG:SOH, LOTOR, D&D, CoX, Auto Assult, Earth and Beyond, Tabula Rasa, PotBS and of course my personal favorite EvE. A few more but cant remember them all.

Wakefield, J Richard, half human. Born New York City, NA Earth 2373. Throughout his youth and early adult years, has displayed an advanced and impressive understanding of mathematics and sciences. At the age of 14, selected for entrance into the Starfleet Academy when of legal age.

During his years in the academy, Wakefield had shown remarkable talent for engineering, graviton, particle and quantum physics and astrometrics. Though it was determined early on that command would be, for lack of a better phrase, an inadequate use of his time. He displayed little skill for social situations and often regarded social niceties with difficulty.

After graduation from the academy, he was immediately offered a research position aboard the USS HitchHiker under the command of a Captain Cregan Maroc. For years, Mr. Wakefield has seemed content to bury himself in his work, uninterested in promotion or advancing anything else other than his own personal knowledge.

During the attack by the Borg in the Vega sector, the entire bridge crew was either killed or incapacitated. Having no other options available to him, Ensign Wakefield and a green tactical officer took control of the ship, managing to assist in the fight against the Borg. In the process, capturing a live Borg.

After the ship and its remaining crew were safe at Spacedock, Captain Maroc, who survived but is currently unable to take command of a ship while he completes rehabilitation, gives command of the HitchHiker over to Mr. Wakefield, after promoting him to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade. Starfleet Command, after reviewing his actions during the current battle, approve of the shift of Command on a temporary basis and upon request by Lt. Wakefield, he was also allowed to take the Borg he had liberated aboard for reintergration into individuality.

Repairs on USS HitchHiker almost complete, new crew has been assigned. First mission pending.
