Best Movies Other People Have Not Seen

I was stuck in a library for report card pickup and all I did for 8 hours was talk about movies, serf IMDB and hand out 24 report cards. I was talking about The Big Lebowski and the Coen brothers when I mentioned Miller's Crossing. No one knew about this 1990 jem. It's an awesome movie with Gabriel Byrne. I loved it. Anyway, I come home and it's on the INDIE channel. Weird.
If you like awesome stories about gangs and honor and superb dialogue, Millers Crossing is a great movie.
I wanted to get some input on other movies I might not have seen. Also, Henry Fool comes to mind. It's a quirky movie by Hal Hartley, who is a genius
Anyone else see something really good no one else knows about?

Love Bubba Ho-Tep and didn't know there was a Donny Darko sequel. I gotta add The Spanish Prisoner to my list.

Equilibrium is justr awesome mocie. ( ou noticed equilibrium references in CO?)when speaking aout WTF movies, than its probably "lost highway". from asian cinema. i think yuo should look for Seppuku (1962) ( also known as Harakiri in some translations) awesome samurai story. from evil movies ( evil i mean so bad that they are acualy interesting) i propose "The returner". Than there are "chinse ghost stories", "long time ago in china" (all five of them)"Chidrens of the triad" "36th chamber of shaolin" "angel Terminators" "HArd boiled" "police story" Tai chi master"" Project A" . Interesting is "city Hunter"- manga/anime based movie staring Jackie chan. Must see is "battle Royale". And awesome live action take on "Death Note". And for masochists, there is "Preety Guardian Sailor Moon" ( staring plushie Luna, and rubber demons). Also awesome are old Gozilla movies ( Gozilla vs MEchagozilla, Gozilla vs Madera, King kong vs Gozilla, Mothra vs gozilla, Gozilla vs hedora, and so on:) ( if you have friends and some drinks, than gozilla driniing game : on gozilla roarz, cardboard decoration being blown up, ob bad special effects, on "instermonstrename"roaring and so on....

Im a Godzilla junkie. I remember AMC channel used to play marathons around Holloween of Godzilla and other older monster movies. We used to get smashed in college and watch them all night. Also, when my family got our first video camera, which was 25+ years ago (it video taped right onto a VHS tape) my first movie was a Godzilla vs. Mr. Roboto. Mr. Roboto was just 2 cardboard boxes painted silver with some spraypaint. Godzilla and him ended up being friends and killing Obi Wan Kenobi by scraping his face against the garage wall unitl it was gone.
I wish I still had access to that stuff.

Any Bruce Campbell movie EXCEPT Alien Apocalypse. Even the power of the Almighty Chin couldn't salvage that fiasco.

It's essentially a local movie for, they had some trouble finding a distributor, as well as they were trying to break a record for most fan credits. So I can claim I am in an actual movie (or at least my name). But none the less it's a great movie.

Why has nobody listed "Buckaroo Banzai"? Greatest cult movie ever, except for the better ones. Also, "The Station Agent," is a great slice of quirky life movie and the "Slither," is a great cheesy horror comedy.

Was there anything Buckaroo Banzai couldn't do? I must throw "Screamers" in to the mix, it is another Peter Weller movie.

These are australian films, so proberbly unknown to most of you, but very good films.
and also yes Equilibrium is amazing..it just seems to slip through the cracks apon release, this movie is just plain awsome IMO.
Theres also a movie called "Joshua" it is a Christian movie, so if this isnt your thing or offends you,please forgive me and don't watch it. But I found this movie very heart warming and a good perspective of denominationalism (hmm is that a word?)

Wow. Ok. So I am watching The Box. I feel kinda like I'm watching 9th Gate, which is an awesome movie. Hell Yeah. I had to watch it over 2 nights because I started it so late. The whole premise is based off of Sartes existenialism writings of No Exit. Great idea. So I watch the whole movie and I get stupid drunk during the second viewing/half, and I love hate it. The ending is blah...the movie is awesome, but the ending is something I have to wach again. If you liked 9th gate, you might like this? Idunno. Dont get stupid drunk tho...It will make you watch it again. Anyway, fly straight.
