Bio: Born Ryusen Katta Kotsu 2639 on a planet called Agartha located in the delta quadrant. Mostly just called Ryukotsu as members of his species use their first prefix and last name for their "common name". Some of his closer friends simply call him Ryu or Kotsu, which suits him fine. Ryu became one of the last members of his race, known as "The Shashanin" when his home world Agartha, was destroyed by the eruption of an omega molecule within the planets core in 2803. Ryukotsu ended up on Earth when his parents ship was pulled into a subspace singularity that erupted in the Alpha Quadrant killing his parents. He was found by a federation scout, and brought to earth. 2 years later he joined starfleet and served aboard various ships as enlisted, until his captain suggested he apply to starfleet academy to become an officer. Kotsu advanced quickly through the ranks until becoming an Admiral.
Ryukotsu and Serenity: ( I decided I liked this version best unless its, unsuitable for rping) After the singularity erupted in the alpha quadrant, killing Ryukotsu parents. He was picked up by a federation scout. After serving aboard various star ships for several years as enlisted, he joined star fleet academy to become an officer as suggested by his former captain. Ryu advanced quickly through the ranks receiving several accommodations. Upon becoming an admiral Ryu was placed in charge of a new experimental ship star fleets temporal division had been working on. The second ship of its kind the USS Serenity was aimed to be the first fully functioning prototype time ships. The first prototype being the USS Wells. But first there was still some bugs to be worked out. Unfortunately however during a test run the serenity was attacked when creating a temporal inversion field, disrupting the generators and creating a gravity well pulling the serenity through the collapsing temporal anomaly. Emerging somewhere, and some time in the past, inertial dampers completely off line the Serenity flew out of control crashing into a moon. Most of her skeleton crew lay dead Ryu worked to get auxiliary power online just to get life support back on line and see if her enemy's has followed. Once emergency power was restored Ryu found himself and what was left of his crew smashed on a rock in 2397 very close to a federation starbase. Not wanting to pollute the timeline but out of options he sent out a distress call, who know maybe finding serenity here is what changed starfleets temporal prime directive and made them try and build these ships in the first place Since even if it goes against the prime directive starfleet would never pass up an opportunity like this. After being debriefed by starfleet command, star fleet intelligence, and starfleet temporal investigations, He was allowed to return to his ship and over see her repair, being one of the only people with knowledge of her systems. Most of the major systems were damaged beyond recognition, they were replaced by contemporary equipment. Most of her temporal systems were destroyed, with the temporal generators and tipler Cylinder lacking the true components they needed and a power supply capable of generating and directing such immense energy. The Wells class time ship was left only capable of very short term time reversals and pauses. Let alone the ability to return to her normal time frame. So in 2411 the USS Serenity's refit and repair was complete with her being returned to service under Admiral Ryusen Kotsu.
* fun "fact": Guests on the serenity sometimes find it harder to move around due to the fact that the captain keeps the ships gravity at a variance of 1.3 with 1.0 being standard gravity on a starship. the captains personal quarters are kept around 3 times the gravity on earth more similar to his home worlds.
Agartha: Considered by the federation to be a class L planet due to having an oxygen/argon atmosphere, and somewhat high lvs of radiation that envelope the plant. A rather large planet, about 3 to 4 times the mass of earth its located in a binary star system in the delta quadrant. Agartha has several natural satellites, two of which are habitable. The planet has large oceans, forests and deserts, as well as one ice cap on its northern end. Its inhabited by a large variety of dangerous plant and animal life, several of which on considered to have "intelligence". As well as the home world for the Shashanin race. 4 earth years for every one on Agartha, days are typically about 42 hours long.
Shashanin race and society: A long lived race of humanoids, the people of Agartha age much like that of humans for the first 15 years of their lives. Upon reaching adulthood their aging process slows drastically by human standards average life expectancy of them is 384 earth years. Average height is only 5' 7'' for males and 5'1'' for females. Weight around 160-200 is average for males while their counterparts average weight is around 110. The shashanin have a higher muscle density then humans due to higher natural gravity of their planet. They have dark round marks with slight openings on their necks and forehead that filter toxins and radiation from their system, as well as react to different lvs or pressure. they have a digestive tract that is highly adaptable especially to toxic plants and poisonous animals. A very efficient respiratory system and unique filters allowing them to breath some gasses other then oxygen with out suffocating even is little or no oxygen is present. A very advanced intelligent race, most members are very gifted with telepathic or telekinetic ability. They have very acute senses and high reaction time due to the large dangerous predators that inhabit their world. They are resilient have strong bones, cranial ridges and a binary vascular system. The shashanin have a very complex religious system/ way of life, and a fundamental respect for nature. schools on Agartha teach everything from survival and combat training to temporal mechanics and warp theory. Members normally graduate after 34 earth years of training. Then may choose to serve or continue to a higher education. The government is somewhat dictatorial, tho the people themselves have a large amount of freedom. Family on Agartha is very close. Some House holds 5 generations share living compound, work and schools.
