Ok, here is what you need to do for the versions to be compatable:
Download the 1.1 patch here:
http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/file/Bridge_Commander_Patch;2374
After you install it, download the Kobayashi Maru mod here (big file long download):
http://files.filefront.com/Kobayashi+Maru+10+Full/;8195890;/fileinfo.html
When you get the mod, unzip it and follow the directions of the READ ME. Make sure you do this, because this mod is a little different with installation than other mods that I have seen.
