    We’re very excited to announce the brand new Intel starships that will launch with Delta Rising. These new ships are sleek, agile, and deadly, and they feature a brand new mechanic not found on any other starship. Intel starships are available to captains that are level 50 or greater.

    These all new starships are based upon an existing ship category (i.e.: Cruiser, Escort, Science Vessel, Warbird, etc.) and then heavily modified to make them more stealthy and agile. While all Intel ships are fairly unique, they all have the following in common:

    Faster and more agile than non-intel ships of the same category
    Less hull strength (HP) than non-intel ships of the same category
    Cloaking Device
    Starfleet Intel ships have a standard Cloak
    Klingon Intel ships have Battle Cloak
    Romulan Intel ships have Enhanced Romulan Battle Cloak
    Can equip Dual Cannons
    All Intel ships are Tier 6, so include standard features for this tier
    Scaling HP
    Starship Mastery passive abilities
    Starship Trait
    Have a Commander hybrid Intelligence bridge officer seat
    Have at least one other lower rank hybrid Intelligence bridge officer seat
    Have the Gather Intelligence mechanic




    Gather Intelligence

    All Intel ships are capable of deploying an Intel sensor drone with the Gather Intelligence ability. Once deployed, this sensor drone will scan your target until you disable it or the target is destroyed. The target of your Gather Intelligence ability will periodically receive a Penetrating Scan debuff that will stack. Once enough Penetrating Scans have stacked on your target they become Vulnerable for a short time.

    While the target is Vulnerable, Intel ships can use one of the three Expose Vulnerability abilities on this target. These powerful abilities find a critical weakness in the target starship and then allow you and your teammates to briefly exploit it. This comes in the form of a crippling debuff or control effect. After a target has been afflicted by an Expose Vulnerability effect, the affected foe quickly compensates for its discovered weakness and thus become immune to Penetrating Scan debuffs for a short period of time.






    Expose Vulnerability: Defense

    Your sensor probe discovers a critical weakness in the target's hull and shield systems. This devastating expose effect drastically reduces the target's damage resistance and shield hardness, causing the target to suffer significantly more damage while under this effect. In addition, Expose Vulnerability: Defenses also clears all Engineering buffs on the target.

    Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems

    Your sensor probe unveils a critical weakness in the target's weapons and targeting systems. This crippling effect will significantly reduce the target's accuracy and damage for a short time. In addition, Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems also clears all Tactical buffs on the target.

    Expose Vulnerability: Critical Systems

    Your sensor probe discovers a major flaw in the target's critical systems. This expose effect will apply a Hold effect on the target rendering them helpless for a short period of time. In addition, Expose Vulnerability: Critical Systems will clear all Science buffs on the target.

    Hybrid Bridge Officer Seats

    Intel ships represent the first of our Tier 6 vessels that will possess hybrid seating options. These seats are defined as being a combination of both a Profession (Tactical, Engineering, or Science) and a Specialization (Intelligence). As of now, Intelligence is the only Bridge Officer Specialization available, and will be explained in far greater detail in a later dev blog.

    Hybrid seats can support Bridge Officers of the matching Profession, whether they have the associated Specialization or not. A Tactical/Intel Hybrid Seat, for example, can accept an existing Tactical Officer, and support his/her full range of existing abilities. However, these are the only seats which additionally support Intelligence bridge officer abilities. If a Tactical/Intelligence Bridge Officer is seated into a non-Hybrid Tactical Seat, they will not be able to activate any Intelligence abilities they may possess.

    Existing “Universal” Seats refer to Profession only. Abilities which come from a Specialization will not be available to an officer seated in a Universal seat.

    Without further ado, we’d like to give you the first look at these exciting new starships. It’s important to note that all stats are a work in progress. It’s still very early in the development process and details will likely change. This is especially true for the ships’ scaling hit points.

    The Phantom Intel Escort was designed for stealth, speed and delivering withering volleys of weapon fire upon its intended target. The Phantom is equipped with a Cloaking Device and Active Sensor Arrays. The former allows the starship to cloak while not in combat, and the latter allows intel craft to gather information about their target to expose a vulnerability.

    Console – Universal – Heavy Phaser Lance

    The Phantom comes equipped with a Heavy Phaser Lance universal console. This devastating weapon is capable of delivering a deadly blast of directed energy at a target that bypasses a portion of the target's shields. Additionally, using the lance on a target that has been made Vulnerable by the Phantom's Active Sensor Arrays causes the weapon to deal significantly more damage and completely bypass the target's shields.

    Reciprocity (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Phantom Intel Escort’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Reciprocity starship trait. While this trait is slotted and an enemy misses you in combat, you have all of your Tactical and Intelligence bridge officer ability recharge times reduced slightly. This reduction can happen every few seconds, and it cannot reduce an ability's recharge time below its group cooldown.

This not only causes significant hull damage to the affected foes, but it also provides your starship with additional hull strength.

    This console can only be equipped on the Eclipse Intel Cruiser and the Fleet Eclipse Intel Cruiser, but can be put into any of their console slots. You may only equip one of these consoles.

    Battle Ready (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Eclipse Intel Cruiser’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Battle Ready starship trait. While this trait is slotted, each time you use an Engineering or Intelligence bridge officer ability you gain a Defense and Damage Resistance Rating buff for a short time. This buff stacks up to 3 times.

It features a Cloaking Device and Active Sensor Arrays.     The Scryer Intel Science Vessel comes equipped with a Sensor Probe Swarm universal console that can deploy dozens of small probes to harass nearby enemy starships. Starships that are affected by these probes will have their shields weakened and damage significantly reduced. In addition, any cloaked foes affected by these probes will be revealed.

    This console can only be equipped on the Scryer Intel Science Vessel and the Fleet Scryer Intel Science Vessel, but can be put into any of their console slots. You may only equip one of these consoles.

    Emitter Synergy (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Scryer Intel Science Vessel’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Emitter Synergy starship trait. While this trait is slotted, each time you use a Tactical or Intelligence bridge officer ability you gain a small bonus to both Exotic Damage and Shield Healing. This bonus stacks up to 3 times.

    The Qib Intel Battlecruiser is the most stealthy and agile battlecruiser in the Klingon fleet. It is lighter than most other Klingon battlecruisers. It sacrifices a measure of hull strength for additional maneuverability. If features a Battle Cloaking Device and Active Sensor Arrays. The former allows the starship to cloak even while in combat, and the latter allows intel craft to gather information about their target to expose a vulnerability in their defenses.

While this trait is slotted, each time a cannon weapon is fired your starship will gain a small amount of bonus turn rate and accuracy for a short time. This bonus stacks up to 10 times.

    The Faeht Intel Warbird is the pinnacle of Romulan starship engineering in terms of stealth and maneuverability. It even matches or out performs the incredibly agile and stealthy T'Varo Retrofit in these areas. The Faeht Intel Warbird is equipped with a Romulan Enhanced Battle Cloaking Device and Active Sensor Arrays. The former allows the starship to cloak even while in combat with the ability to briefly decloak and fire projectile weapons, and the latter allows intel craft to gather information about their target to expose a vulnerability.

    Console – Universal – Heavy Plasma Lance

    The Faeht Intel Warbird comes equipped with a Heavy Plasma Lance. This devastating weapon has two firing modes. Normally, it will fire a single heavy plasma beam at its target that causes a devastating plasma fire and renders the target susceptible to Intel starship Expose Vulnerability abilities. However, if the enemy starship is already in a vulnerable state, the beam completely bypasses the target's shield and is even more devastating.

    This console can only be equipped on the Faeht Intel Warbird and the Fleet Faeht Intel Warbird, but can be put into any of their console slots. You may only equip one of these consoles.

    Tactical Retreat (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Faeht Intel Warbird, you will unlock the Tactical Retreat starship trait. While this trait is slotted, gain a large defense and flight speed buff for a short time after being knocked below 25% hull strength. You also become untargetable for 2 seconds and have all enemy threat reduced to zero. Tactical Retreat can be triggered once every 60 seconds.

    Gather Intelligence


    Q: How does Gather Intelligence work when in a team with multiple Intel ships using Gather Intelligence on the same target?
    A: There is a certain number of Penetrating Scan debuffs to stack up on the target before they are considered Vulnerable. Multiple Intel ships can more quickly build up the stack of Penetrating Scans on the target allowing them to be rendered Vulnerable more quickly.

    Q: Does using an Expose Vulnerability ability remove the Vulnerable state from the target?
    A: No. The Vulnerable state has a duration in which Expose Vulnerability abilities can be used.

    Q: Do Expose Vulnerability debuffs from multiple Intel ships stack?
    A: Unlike most effects, Expose Vulnerability debuffs have their duration stack, instead of their effect.

    Example: Player A uses Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems on an enemy. This places a debuff on that enemy for 10 seconds. 3 seconds later Player B uses Expose Vulnerability: Weapon Systems on them. This will add 10 seconds to the duration of the effect for a total of 17 remaining seconds.

    In essence, multiple Intel starships can stack the same effect multiple times for a long lasting effect.

    Q: Is Gather Intelligence useable while Cloaked?
    A: Gather Intelligence requires that you are not cloaked in order to be used.

    Q: Will Fleet variants of the Intel ships be available at Delta Rising launch?
    A: Fleet Intel starships will be released sometime after Delta Rising launch.

    i think the Qib Intel Battlecruiser looks alot more nasty then the fed cruiser, it had higher hp, and more turn rate, plus battle cloak, makes the fed version seem lacking. tho i do think the fed cruser looks the best of that set. And of course they leave the sci one the most pathetic, 13 turn is not agail esp for a sci. and below hull hp avg for sci ship sad...

    Introduction

    With the conflicts between the Federation and Klingon Empires finally subsiding, the major factions of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants are refocusing their gaze outward once more. Accompanied by the revelation of a new path into the unexplored reaches of the Delta Quadrant, this newfound ceasefire has allowed an unprecedented reallocation of assets, labor and innovation, for the creation and manufacturing of fleets of starships suited for deep space exploration in potentially hazardous sectors.

    Intel Hybrid Bridge Officer Seats

    These new Tier 6 starships are more traditional than the previously announced Intel ships.
    That said, all three of these ships feature a single Hybrid Intel Bridge Officer Seat.

    Console – Universal – Particle Conversion Matrix

    The Guardian Cruiser comes equipped with a Particle Conversion Matrix. When activated, your shields will become significantly more durable allowing them to absorb even more damage for a short time. During this time any incoming enemy energy weapon fire has a high chance of boosting your own energy weapon damage. This console may only be equipped on the Guardian Cruiser.



    Desperate Repairs (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Guardian Cruiser’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Desperate Repairs starship trait. While this trait is slotted, each time your starship is critically hit you receive a Desperation counter. Immediately upon receiving a third Desperation counter you will receive a large hull and shield heal and will be unable to gain Desperation counters for a while.



    The original Dauntless class science vessel, discovered by the crew of the Voyager, was actually alien in origin. It featured Quantum Slipstream Drive technology, which was groundbreaking at the time, but ultimately this ship was created using Particle Synthesis to fool and trap the crew of the Voyager. In 2410 the blueprints for the original alien starship were closely examined and Starfleet Engineering Corps were able to re-create this impressive science vessel.

    Console – Universal – Particle Synthesizer

    The Experimental Science Vessel comes equipped with the Particle Synthesizer. This sophisticated piece of technology can project a particle synthesis beam at a distant target. This will cause you to assume the appearance of your target and your distant foe and its nearby friends will take on your appearance thus causing tremendous confusion between your enemies. Additionally, a photonic decoy of your starship is created near your position to draw the attention of your enemies.



    Radiant Nanite Cloud (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Experimental Science Vessel’s Starship Mastery, you will unlock the Radiant Nanite Cloud starship trait. While this trait is slotted, all hull heal bridge officer abilities will heal for an additional 25% over 4 seconds in a 3 km radius.



    The Mat’Ha Raptor is the most advanced tactical vessel in the Klingon fleet. It was designed to have unparalleled forward firepower capable of delivering withering volleys of energy weapon and torpedo fire onto its enemies.

    Console – Universal - Heavy Disruptor Spinal Cannons

    The Mat’Ha Raptor comes equipped with a pair of Heavy Disruptor Spinal Cannons that can lay down a sustained barrage of withering disruptor fire to any starship that enters is area of fire. Starships struck by this weapon will have their engines knocked offline briefly. This console may only be equipped on the Mat’Ha Raptor.



    Overwhelming Force (Starship Trait)

    After reaching level 5 in your Mat’Ha Raptor’s Starship Mastery you will unlock the Overwhelming Force starship trait. While this trait is slotted your Beam Overload attacks will create a reduced radius Charged Particle Burst at the target's location. Your High Yield Torpedo attacks will create a reduced radius Photonic Shockwave at the target's location.



    The Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser was created by the Romulan Republic to fill a need for a more agile battlecruiser. This starship is less durable than the mighty D'deridex, but is significantly more maneuverable. The Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser is equipped with a Romulan Battle Cloaking Device which allows the starship to cloak even while in combat.

    Console – Universal – Destabilized Singularity Projector

    The Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser comes equipped with a Destabilized Singularity Projector. This advanced Romulan device allows the Warbird to project a collapsing singularity toward a distant group of foes. The intense stress on the affected starships' hulls causes heavy damage and dramatically reduces their damage resistance to exotic damage. This console can only be equipped on the Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser.



    Warp Shadow Decoy (Starship Trait)

    After reaching level 5 in your Aelahl Warbird Battlecruiser’s Starship Mastery you will unlock the Warp Shadow Decoy starship trait. While this trait is slotted cloaking will cause a Warp Shadow to appear near your location, causing enemy NPCs to attack your decoy instead of attacking you. This effect cannot trigger more often than once every thirty seconds.

    In the lawless stretches of space between the many empires and sovereignties of the Delta Quadrant, scavengers of all types are a constant threat. Without a powerful central authority, the responsibility of patroling and securing these areas has fallen into the hands of anyone willing and able to enforce the peace.

    The Benthan Guard does what it can to bring the wicked and lawless to justice, but even their powerful fleets of patrol vessels can't be everywhere at once. Many colonies are sometimes reduced to turning groups like the Hazari - contracted mercenaries, willing to keep the peace ... as long as the price is right.

    As the forces of the Alpha and Beta Quadrants undertake their expeditions into the Delta Quadrant, encounters with each of these groups have remained tense. But none can deny the potential benefit of having either as allies against the menacing forces that threaten the entire Galaxy.





    Benthan Assault Cruiser [T6]

    The starships of the Benthan Fleet combine efficiency and beauty in equal measure. The smooth flowing lines of their ships' outer hulls serve both to enhance its aesthetic appeal, and to allow incoming energy to be redirected and distributed across its subsystems, increasing its survivability during any confrontation.



    The Benthan Assault Cruiser is the most well-known of their vessels, serving as the vanguard in the majority of their peacekeeping operations.

    Console – Universal – Polaric Chromoelectric Modulator

    The Benthan Assault Cruiser comes equipped with a Console - Universal - Polaric Chromoelectric Modulator. Usage of this device allows redirection of incoming energy damage into the massive reservoirs throughout their ship hulls, which can lessen the harm such attacks deal to their shields. This energy can also then be emitted toward an enemy starship, disabling their systems and overloading their EPS conduits to cause hull ruptures throughout the ship. Most criminals surrender after feeling the bite of this weapon. The few that don't tend not to live long enough to make any other bad decisions.

    This Console Mod can be equipped in any console slot. It may be equipped only on the Benthan Assault Cruiser or the Hazari Destroyer. You may only equip one of these mods.



    Load Viral Torpedo (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Benthan Assault Cruiser, you will unlock the Load Viral Torpedo starship trait. While this trait is slotted, activation of Engineering, Science, Tactical and Intelligence Team now load a Viral Torpedo. This causes your next Torpedo attack to disable your target(s) for a short period of time. This can occur once every 20 seconds.



    Hazari Destroyer [T6]

    Ruthless bounty hunters and mercenaries, the Hazari pride themselves on always completing the jobs they accept. Their ships reflect this sense of both aggressiveness and pride, by adhering to simple, streamline designs that favor maneuverability and firepower.



    The Hazari Destroyer represents the most commonly-seen of their fleet, boasting the ability to stand toe-to-toe with even the most difficult-to-capture of their targets.

    Console – Universal – Hazari Shield Drone

    This ship comes equipped with a Console - Universal - Hazari Shield Drone. Hazari are well-known for their team tactics in space conflict, where one ally will hold back in a defensive position and reinforce the shields of an allied attacker. Their most talented engineers developed this automated drone to allow this tactic to be used even in scenarios where an ally cannot be relied upon. While active, the Hazari Shielding Drone will prevent a massive amount of damage directed toward its owner.



    This Console Mod can be equipped in any console slot. It may be equipped only on the Benthan Assault Cruiser or the Hazari Destroyer. You may only equip one of these mods.



    Partners in Arms (Starship Trait)

    After achieving level 5 in your Hazari Destroyer, you will unlock the Partners in Arms starship trait. This special trait can be used on any starship that you own. While the Partners in Arms starship trait is active your ally targeted heals and buffs now provide you with a boost to all damage for a short time. This buff stacks up to 3 times.



    Law and Order - 2 pc Piece Set Bonus

    By equipping both the Console – Universal – Chromoelectric Modulator and the Hazari Shield Drone you will gain the Law and Order 2 piece set bonus. While they are both equipped, both console abiltiies will benefit from a recharge time reduction.



    Kazon Raider [T5]

    Kazon vessels were the scourge of the U.S.S. Voyager's early days in the Delta Quadrant. Though relatively low-tech compared to many other species' modern starships, they were used effectively by the ruthless Kazon in numerous encounters. Over the years since their encounters with Captain Janeway, the Kazon have salvaged, scavenged and raided all manner of updated technology, further enhancing the threat they pose to the more civilized races of the Delta Quadrant.



    The Kazon Heavy Raider is their most prolific vessel. It utilizes its maneuverability and versatility to great advantage, allowing it to outclass many larger opponents with ease.

    The Kazon Raider is a Tier 5 Starship. It can be upgraded to T5-U with a Starship Upgrade Requisition.

    Kazon raider perfect for me

    Hello all,

    Just wanted to say I was able to find a way to get one of these raiders, and absolutely love it! So far I've been kicking undine butt with it quite easily in the new storyline. These things are fast! On of the most maneuverable of all the ships I've seen. For those of you who like an escort class with a tough skin, this is the one.
