Second Chance Saloon

Little by little, the bottle gets drained. Glass by potent glass. Eventually, the saloon is filled with amused onlookers as they surveyed the situation and whispered amongst themselves. Soon though, the bottle was done, and neither contestant had given in, though Garfunkel sure was feeling the effects..."JarHok! Whaddya got for the... *Burp*, second round?" he says, trying to set his glass down on the table.

As the bottle sits empty upon the table JarHok thinks for a moment before saying “I ink I know of something tucked away somewhere I shall take a look”.

JarHok gets up from his chair at the table and disappears for a moment and retunes with a bottle of Andorian ale.

He then pours it into two tall straight glasses which revel Andorian ale to be light blue in colour and hands a glass to Garfunkel.

"Cheers!" he says as he raises his glass to JarHok. Taking it more slowly this time, the contest begins to get messy, Garfunkel threatening to fall out of his chair whilst drinking, and JarHok, threatening to laugh himself silly at the obviously far-gone Garfunkel."I'm not quite done...yet." he says taking another swig from the glass.

JarHok rases his glass to the barly stable Garfunkel as refills hsi glass for him and himself.

"Yes Im sure you may be able to hold on a little longer before your structuale integrity fails" hahaha

"Ha, I haven't drank this much since spring break in '04!" Garfunkel said, acknowledging his drunken state. "I believe when this is over, I'll have to be beamed to my quarters. Heh Heh He-" Garfunkel is cut short as a very large Cardassian man comes over and pulls him out of his chair by his collar.

"Are you the one they call... Garfunkel?" he said his voice deep and raspy.

(Garfunkel refocuses quickly)
"Yessir, what can I do you for?" he says.

(Okay maybe not that quickly)

"Did you happen to come across a bottle of Kanar during your stay here? Or shall I ask your filthy Klingon friend here?" he says glancing at JarHok.

"Umm, I think you've got the wrong guy, I've never even seen a Kanar. What is it a type of dog? Hah Ha-" Garfunkel said again, cutoff by the Cardassian's strong hold. "Um..JarHok... A... Little..He-lp..P-Please?" Garfunkel gasped out.

Hardtack laughs histaricaly, and hopes that the cola is decaf. she drinks it and smiles. "Freaks," she mutters.

JarHok noting Hardtack chuckling nearby and muttering something to herself and notes what the Cardassian is saying.

“So Cardassian you are accusing Garfunkel hear of taking your bottle of Kanar but either he was pretending not know what it is or for that mater he may be too drunk to know what it is”.

“Never the less you should know the rules know fighting in the second chance saloon Cardassian so I will pretend for the moment you did not just say what I thought you just said, so if I were you I would unhand my friend and walk away”.

“You should also note I just happen to be in charge of station security, so it’s up to you what you do next Cardassian”?

Hardtack is still highly amused by the events. Decides to chime in.

"Yeah, he may decide to throw you into the holoprogram with a ferangi and his buddies that want to eat you... and then choose to ignore it." But noting the look on the Cardassian's face she shrugs. "I'm just kidding. He only does that to inocent recruits." She shoots a half ammused angry glare JarHok's way.

Hardtack stands and nods to the collection of half drunken fellows. She has recieved a direct feed on her personal palm display and needs to leave immediatly. "Excuse me gentlemen. Perhapse another time?" She winks at Garfunkle and scrunches her nose at JarHok. The din of the saloon fades as she exits into the hall, and she books it at full speed.

The Cardassian looks at JarHok. "Well, considering that this Starbase is of particular fancy to me, I will not cause any more trouble, officer." He says, setting the gasping Garfunkel on a bar stool."But just know Mr. Garfunkel, this is NOT the last time we'll meet." the Cardassian said as he walked out of the saloon.

"Wow, thanks JarHok, I was afraid I'd have to pull some CQC on his butt." Garfunkel said, brushing the front of his uniform off."Never even met that guy before in my life! I've never even drank Kanar before..." He said sitting back down at their drinking table. "What do you say? You wanna call it a draw? Or shall we continue this another time? I've got to report for my shift in about two hours."

JarHok listens to Garfunkle and nods whilst smileing whistfuly at the coments and actions of Hardtack earlyer before saying "Yes I think it would be best to call it a draw as we both have duties to atend to".

So with that JarHok gets up from the table and moves to a replicator and gets a glass of water and then heads out of the Second chance Saloon.

Captain Guile and Commander Foster casually walked thru the corridor. Hardtack almost ran right into Foster, but made a slight sideways maneuver and missed him. They both stopped for a moment, and looked back. They then both looked at each other. A questioning looked immediately turned into a shrug a shoulders.They continued to walk, nearing the door of the Second Chance when an extremely angry Cardassian stormed passed them. Once again the confused look took across their faces. This time, they did not stop.

Walking into the Saloon, Jar-Hok and Garfunkel were on the way out. Each nodded at each other in turn, Garfunkel almost walking into a bulkhead, before figuring the door was a better route. Foster grinned, and Guile just shook his head. They both made it to the bar, and ordered a beer and shot of whiskey for each. They got what they needed, and turned at the same time, taking the same pose. Guile pounded his whiskey back, as Foster sipped on his.

A very young, very nervous looking Ensign Saffa (Ace) walks into the saloon. She starts fiddling with her long blond hair and quickly walks to a seat along the far wall. She sits nervously, pulling an ever present data pad out of a satchel bag that she carried and begins taking notes. After a moment she relaxes, watching whistfully as two rather rugged-looking young men share drinks. She smiles, but it's quickly replaced as a rush of hair covers her face and she delves into her notes once more.

OOC: Lol, I almost hit a bulkhead.

OOC: thought you would like that amigo. now are you going on the Serenity or what? if so mister report yer ass to the ship! hahaha

Guile pulls another whiskey off the counter. "So Cade. I hear rumors about you and some Klingon tearing your way thru half the station in a rather sexual fashion."

Foster drank, and drank, and drank.... "Haaaaaa.... Yeah. About that....."

Guile nodded, "Yeah, about that...."

They both laugh.

(Meanwhile Baumer is asleep in the corner with his drink on the table next to him)

Ace looks up again and does a double take. "What the...?" she starts giggling.

Foster casts a sideways glance at the young woman, and then at Baumer. Guile nudges him, with a small nod, reaches behind his back, and slides a bowl of peanuts in between the two on the counter. Both of them grab one, and keep their drinks in their other hands.

Foster whispering, "Guile at the plate.... the count stands at 0-1. The pitcher gives the nod, and winds up. Releasing it, Guile swings...." As he says that, Guile aims a peanut, and tosses it deftly, as it bounces onto Baumer's head and falls off his shoulder. Foster then takes his as Guile picks up,

"Base hit for Guile.... Foster on deck. Good day here, folks.... And here comes the toss...." Foster snaps it thru the air. It bounces on the table, and slides right under Baumer's nose. Both of them turn around, and pretend nothing happened.

(Baumer coughs and sputters a few times, as he is awakened by the fast moving object that had just flown into his mouth. Baumer then chews a couple of times... hmm... did I really just fall asleep with a peanut in my mouth? )

Baumer: Sorry... I think I just dozed off. Who won?

The two men at the bar giggle like little girls with their backs turned to everyone else. Shots are refilled, and they both slam them back.

Ace watches and continues to laugh. As Baumer wakes up she nearly falls out of her chair laughing. She stabelized herself as the chair wabbles.

Baumer: Hmm... well I guess I've obviously had enough for the night. I'm going to hit my quarters. See you all in the morning. (Baumer stands up, grabs another handful of peanuts on the way by and heads for the door.)

Ace composes herself and continues taking notes.
