As of today’s maintenance, the Ar’Kif Tactical Warbird Retrofit has become the Ar’Kif Tactical Carrier Warbird Retrofit! We’ve listened to your feedback and have made the ship even more competitive by adding a single hangar bay that is equipped with Scorpion Fighter hangar pets to it.

Already purchased and claimed the Ar'Kif Tactical Warbird Retrofit? Not to worry! The hangar bay has automatically been added to your ship. NOTE: Captains who unlocked it prior to today may not receive their Scorpion Fighter hangar pets automatically. You may either dismiss* and reclaim the ship to obtain the pets, or, for a limited-time, you may claim free, non-tradable Scorpion Fighter pets via the Carrier Energy Credit store in the shipyard. *Don’t forget to un-equip all items from the ship before you do or they’ll be lost during the dismiss!

Although the Romulan Republic's fleet was launched with repurposed ships from the Romulan Star Empire, Republic leaders quickly saw the need to design their own starships. The first ship to come out of the New Romulus Shipyards was the Ar'Kif Tactical Warbird.

This retrofit version of the Ar'Kif is designed for Vice Admirals looking for a ship with a sleek design and a lot of firepower. The Ar'Kif Tactical Carrier Warbird Retrofit features a Focused Singularity Modulator console. This console grants the ship two powers: Annihilation Mode (+10 Weapon Power, +50% Singularity Charge Rate, -10 Shield Power) and a Focused Singularity Beam that deals damage each second it is active, gradually increasing in damage the longer it remains activated. Activating a Focused Singularity Beam will drain Singularity Power and will also deactivate Annihilation Mode when the beam has completed its firing cycle. The Ar'Kif Tactical Carrier Warbird Retrofit also features a hangar bay, and comes standard with Scorpion Fighter hangar pets.
