Romulan Subscriber Rewards



Star Trek Online has a long history of supporting its current and former subscribers, as well as Lifetime members to the game. With the upcoming Legacy of Romulus expansion, we have a list of special items that are available to these valued players, as well as a surprise for our silver players. We also have information for players who pre-ordered STO before it launched and what bonus items from those pre-orders are available to Romulan Republic players.

All Players (Updated!)

Alien-Gen Hybrid Romulan Species: All players, from silver to gold to lifetime, will have access to this species right at the start.


Current or Lapsed Gold Subscribers

Vice Admiral Ship Token: Players that have been gold subscribers for at least 600-days will receive a single veteran ship token per character that allows the player to purchase a character unlock Vice Admiral or Rear Admiral Romulan Retrofit ship for free. This token is only good for Romulan ships when received on a Romulan Republic character, and the ship will be character locked to the character that selected it.

Lifetime Subscribers

Liberated Romulan Borg Species: Lifetime players already have access to Liberated Human and Klingon Borg playable species, and we’ve added the Liberated Romulan Borg species to complete the set. Rebuild your legacy by playing as an escaped member of the Hivemind.
Vice Admiral Ship Token: Lifetime subscribers are instantly granted 1,000-day veteran status, so they will also receive the single veteran ship token per character that allows the player to purchase a character unlock Vice Admiral or Rear Admiral Romulan Retrofit ship for free. This token is only good for Romulan ships when received on a Romulan Republic character, and the ship will be character locked to the character that selected it.

Retailer Exclusive Pre-order Bonuses

There were a variety of retailer exclusive pre-order bonuses that were available at launch that will still be available to players of the Romulan Republic faction*. All of these can be collected from the “Legacy” tab of the C-Store if you've previously had access to them before. *These items are not automatically available to Gold/ Lifetime/ or Veteran Subscribers and can only be claimed if you've previously redeemed a pre-order code from a boxed version of the game when it launched in 2010.
