where is everyone?

hello all,
on pretty much every evening between 730-10 pm ish, eastern time.
seems like a ghost town.
folks leaving fleet as well.
did i miss a memo?

Nope. I'm on most evening's from 10:30 or 11:30 -2:00

I think that the general STO population has just dissapeared... sadly our fleet has taken a major part of that impact.


People are leaving the fleet because of it. I wish they would stick with us and ride out the storm, but some people just lose faith too fast.

I'm not giving up on the fleet, but I'm realistic to the fact that it's going to be a ghost town for a while, at least until the Devs get us more content to do. Quests, missions, side stories... etc.



We are still pulling in recruits. I'm aware that the upper leadership has lost a number of people, and that's why I'm planning to do a major purge soon and move a number of the active people up into leadership roles. It's going to take time, but that's where I'm heading.

We just have to be patient.

Anything I can do to help, I'm happy to do. I'm a true ST fan, so this game is perfect as is for me (although improvements are welcome).

I've had a friend staying with me this week so I've not been on. Normally I play from 8pm to 10:30pm gmt during the week and at random times over the weekend. I very rarely see anyone or if I do they are logging on as I'm logging off due to the time difference.

I've gotten myself interested in too many shows this season before I started STO and with hubby working an hour later than he used to that makes dinner later, less time to watch the shows we watch ect..... Seasons over for summer soon though lol

Summer is always a killer, in WoW my guild felt it really hard. I pop on from 6-12pm EST randomly but usually no one is on so I don't stay on long as I'm not a fan of alts. If ppl want to schedule stuff I will be on so long as it is not too late. I dont plan on going anywheres as I wouldve jumped ship a long time ago if I did.

I've had to curb my playtime severely recently as well.
I've been having to take call for work a lot more in the evenings since one of my coworkers went out on maternity leave.
I've just been popping in to do my dailies in B'Tran and maybe a few cluster missions on my lowbies.
Hopefully, soon, I'll be back on more.

Yes, no flooding in my little plot of land we are pretty high above any water sorce, we'd all be hurting around the world if it ever flooded here lol. But TN / Nashville area has been hit hard. They call it our Katrina, flooding is still wide sprerd. I'm afraid they mayl end up finding more bodies in some of the homes that basicly up to the roof or over. Then there are all the businesses and loss of products / jobs that'll end up happening if it takes months to get something going again.

Glad to hear you and your family are safe V. As for the fleet and STO not going anywhere and what ever I can do to help out it would be an honor and pleasure.

Yep im back for good now ...seems my connection test to the game was perfect and no matter what i will stay with this fleet and support Baumer all the way.

I'm mostly on After midnight while at work. or Mid day around 3:00pm EST. Looks like I might not be on the next 3 days thou. Comcast is down and they can't get a tech out till Sunday morning ><. So I'm at start bucks now typing this. That also means I have to go 2 work Friday and can't work from home. WHERE is free Dial Up when you need it. O wait I don't have a house phone anyway lol

Yeah, being new here, I was surpised at the lack of activity too. I understand the causes Baumer mentioned, though. I just came at a coincidental time. I'm not a good leader but I like titles and am good at pointing my finger or putting out small, quick fires if that will help any. First responder would be a good descriptive of me. Stablize the patient and move on; let the doctors finish the technical work.

I'm still here, I've just been hellishly busy the last couple of months, so I have barely been flying anything. I'm having my first of five exams starting next week and a two week stcw-course beginning early june, soo I'm not quite here yet, but I should be game sometime in june again.

I'm still here as well, though my time has been chewed up a lot lately between work and life. I'm trying to get on when I can, if only to say hi on the fleet channel, and I do lurk a lot here on the forums, I swear

Had real life issues, but I tried to run a few missions last night

I'm usually on at some point each day for at least a short period before being pulled away...

Hopefully things will settle down at home a bit so that I'm not AFK seemingly all the time.

I have been on vacation for about a week followed by some away with work days, returned last night and now just recovering from that but should be back shortly, possibly even tonight - though I live in Europe so not sure it helps for the hours mentioned in the original post.

haha, it sounds as if everyone took a vacation at the same time haha.


I've got something new that might help us as well. Even if we aren't as active, there are other options to help supplement during the times of day that not everyone is on.

I try to get on once in a while. just been super busy with life and there is next to nothing to do in STO right now.

I am back I to take a break. University work became the priority. But now I have completed year 2 I am free to play again
