Yup been following this one pretty closely. If you loved Wing Commander, than this game will be for you. Chris Roberts doesn't have the right to Wing Commander (go figure) which is why this game is not Wing Commander Online. There hasn't been any new updates on the website in a while but the fact that the website is still up and running is a good sign.

oh man Lastline, there's a ton of new stuff about the game. They just launched their new site last week and are updating it just about everyday. This game is coming alone nicely. Plus if you youtube 'wingmans hanger', it's their weekly pod cast that they tell you wants happened during the past week

I've become a backer at Star Citizen with a Connie. Quite literally salivating at the prospect of playing--the hangar alone is amazing. No further developments with the Firefly fleet; seems it's all just forum posting now til they get their guild system up and running.

I jumped on board a couple months ago with the Mercenary package. I'm not sure how well my computer will handle the actual game but the hangar was pretty laggy for me (because of my computer).
I'm starting to save my pennies for a newer card and hopefully I'll have it before the game is released.
