T-Lani, looking for suggestions for my build.

Allo, matey peeps. I am looking for help with my following build. I did attempt it. I am more interested in ground pvp, but a little space pvp is not something I avoid. With my build I tried to make each point I gain in a skill cost as little as possible and gain some bang for buck. The Heavy and Tactical Escort gives 50% of itself to my Advanced Escort and so I still end up with 97 points buffing my Advanced. I am not into spending 40 points for half a skill point which gets ED'd to low levels. I did end up with spare points and put that to the fleet support ability so when hull goes below half health I fleet support, engineer team, jam sensors, let the support tank and start attacking again as a final hope in PvE. So all my abilities have points going to them and I don't have my eggs in one basket but with space pvp my power choices are questionable. Until I max out my ships equipment + points I will never know. Anyway here is the build I am thinking of:

Don't know much about running Escorts unfortunately, although I got a Tac Toon, but I always had him run cruisers because I thought that would give me an edge on shields and firepower. I started experimenting with him lately, but I can't get the hang of escorts, been running cruisers for too long I guess.

My current main is an Eng Cruiser and eats everything, although maybe not on the ground but then I've always preferred my fighting in space.

I can briefly say what I did:

Tier 1, everything upto 7 keeping 100pts per skillpoint

Tier 2, everything i am using upto 7 keeping 100pts per skillpoint

So now at 45pts, 30points away from 75 for where two skills cap and 55 pts to 100 where everything caps but gets enhancement diversified down anyway.

Tier 3, in star ship engineering bonusing a skill its required for beyond 75 pts is a waste so I bonused up to 4, With the ships tier only 50% goes toward a higher tier so I bonused upto 5 spending 1500 on 36pts which gets halved to 18 pts so thats just over 80pts per skillpoint. Everything else needed got the full 9.


Tier 4 anything I needed was the full 9 except for the ships points which got 5 for the same reasons as in tier 3.

Tier 5 was just any remaining points worth getting but with trying to get atleast 100pts per skillpoint. So all in all I tried to get the most Skillpoints down with all my points as I could. Lots went into groundfighting.

Selection of skills to point up came from using the list and seeing them highlighted.

That's pretty much how I'd build any toon.
