Since we have a Father's Day thread, let me exit character for a moment. Please be sure to treat your dad's right this year. He is the unsung hero in your family. Mom may get all the glory (and justifiably so!), dad is the one who sacrificed so much to flip the bill for everything you had as a kid.
In my little world, dad didn't quite do as well as he could have, but he did make the sacrifices. Later, it was my step dad who really stepped up to the plate and really went above and beyond what would have been expected given the circumstances. And I guarantee you, I did NOT make it easy for him. But the man stuck by us all and was a real trouper about it all.
Later, I got to be a step dad for a few years and really did my best to emulate him.
Having been on both sides, I can tell you that a dad's job is not an easy thing to do. And too often we cheap out on Father's Day.
If nothing else, just find a way to let the guy know that he is appreciated. Even something as small as an "I love you, Pop" phone call you may not normally make. He will love you for it. Trust your ole Zapper!
