RP idea!

So I have been watching Deep Space Nine. The members of that station have station jobs, just like we do I am assuming. Now they also have this bad ass ship called the Defiant, which I am sure you are all aware. When they are aboard that ship they all have functions. So here was my idea we create a Station ship, and are each assigned to specific stations on board said ship. So we would all still have our own individual ships, and functions on board the station but we would also have duty stations on board the station ship. We could set it up in a few different ways.
1. Set it up like the second chance where we can just wander in and out at will.
2. Set up a room for it and have an event which would run seven days at a stretch.
3. Have a combination of both.
Just something I was thinking about .

dibs on the being the drunk klingon thats always in quarks. seriously.. how many episodes was that random klingon NOT in? you remember him.... either he is sitting there drinking, or sitting there halfway passed out, sitting there and some unsuspecting guy walks by and he pushes him..... yeeeaahhhhhhh

Silly! What postion would you want on the ship? I personally think you would be an awesome bartender! If we do decided to do this I was thinking something much larger than a Defiant.

Sounds like a very workable idea. And yes, I think something a lot larger than the Defiant would be needed. Something pretty large, to be able to fit everybody's roles in the fleet (Marines, Science, Intel, Starfighters, ect).

I wonder what is the largets ship the federation has

The Galaxy's the biggest in sheer mass of volume. It's 3 times bigger than the Sovereign Re-fit. But.... Sovereign Re-fit's the most multi-use, and stronger than the Galaxy.

And I haven't seen anywhere that the Galaxy can carry Starfighters, the Sov Re-fit can.

I didn't see this ship in our starship database, so I don't know if it is cannon. But if it is will it work?

You'e right, It's technically not cannon. It's one of the new Ships that will appear in STO... If we're looking for full accepted Cannon, Then I'd go for either the Sovereign, or the Galaxy (I just found out the Galaxy Class carries 10 starfighters!).

Also, the Akiras carry fighters, but that would leave us Science folk without much to do (it's a full-on BattleCruiser).

it was actually the USS Curie, as in Marie Curie. shelly class.

i cannot remember the episode of TNG, but it was definitely there, and i even remember la forge saying something about it.

I went to ask.com and typed in "curry class starship specifications" and alot of stuff came up. Apparently this ship type made an appearance in the Wolf 359 graveyard scene in Star Trek:TNG and than made an appearance during the Cardassian War on DS9. And I think it would be perfect for this check it out in the Starship database section.
