Re: Delta Recruitment !
So far I am really liking being a Delta recruit. I got to run through the new turtorial which imho was much better than the old one. In the old one you find yourself as a fresh faced Ensign on your first assignment. The borg attack boarding your vessel, you run below decks and help out in places like the medical bay and engineering and than find out that the senior staff was killed and now your in charge of the ship. Really? There was no one else left alive BUT me? Oh well of we go to repel a borg attack.
This time your nearly at the end of your time at the academy but you find out that you missed a critcal training phase and while going through it you meet your future self. The tutorial continues while you and your fellow cadets are assigned critcal roles aboard a starship while you go on a training cruise. Ah ha! Now this makes more sense. This time the Klingons attack and kidnap your Captian. As you are the acting first officer the rest of the cadets look to you to take command of the ship. From there it pretty much follows the line of the original tutorial.
This tutorial made much more sense to me than the first one and was alot more fun.
Now as a delta recruit I am re-running those old missions and seeing how much they have changed and now they all have a little twist. Send out this commique, investigate this land mark are all that I have encountered so far.
So far so good! I am exicted to see what happens next. I'm really looking forward to later on when I will get to travel back as my future self to meet with my past self.

Re: Delta Recruitment !
Delta Recruits: What have you done to fight the Iconians today?
The Empire thanks you for service, but there is more to be done! The tasks you complete as part of your daily duties are of vital importance to the war effort.
Every warrior in the Empire must do their duty. Check your Tesseract Communications Receiver frequently, and follow its instructions. The rewards you earn from your benefactor could make the difference in the battle to defend the Empire against the Iconians and their demonic servitors.
A blade left unsharpened is a useless hunk of metal. Prepare your weapons. Arm your officers. War is coming, and you will lead the fight.

Re: Delta Recruitment !
A blade left unsharpened may be a useless hunk of metal. But a war in which Firefly dosen't fight is a war in which you cannot possibly hope to win!
A day without Firefly Fleet is a day without sunshine.
Sun Tzu only wrote his book after spending a week with us.
James T. Kirk thanked Firefly fleet at the closing of every one of his Captians logs. (it was omitted from the shows due to time constraints.)
King Kong ain't got Sh** on us!

Re: Delta Recruitment !
Delta Recruits are making their way through the various missions and part of that progress includes unlocking the Duty Officer system. As Delta Recruits reach this milestone, they’ll have the chance to use their Research & Development skills to build new equipment for the upcoming war.
For this week of the Delta Recruit event, the contributing event is research and development projects. Every time a Delta Recruit completes an R&D assignment, this will contribute to the meter. As the meter hits certain benchmarks, this will unlock progressively better rewards for the following week. Unlocking the initial reward will cause the following week to grant 25% more R&D XP to everyone, not just Delta Recruits. Hitting the second benchmark improves this to 50% more R&D XP, and hitting the third and final benchmark increases this to 75% more R&D XP for everyone for the entire week!
The only way to unlock these rewards is to make new Delta Recruit characters, complete the tutorial, and complete R&D projects. Of course, Delta Recruits unlock bonus account-wide rewards, too, so playing a Delta Recruit is advantageous if you already have another character.

Re: Delta Recruitment !
So than I guess what I should take away from this is that the Iconian's were litter bugs. Maybe the history books were wrong the Iconians weren't wiped out by planetary bombing. They were wiped out by global warming.
