Removing Fleet Marks from Officer Reports

    Foundry:

Foundry: Updated the display name and description for the Cheer animations to more accurately describe them.
Resolved an issue that prevented music from playing in Foundry missions until combat was initiated.
The Foundry daily missions have been replaced.
The existing daily missions have been removed.
Now, all qualifying Foundry missions will automatically reward a scaling amount of Dilithium and skill points/expertise.
Dilithium will be rewarded based on the average playtime of the mission.
All spotlight missions will reward the same as a qualifying mission, with two exceptions:
Once every 24 hours, the first spotlight mission completed in that time frame will get a bonus 1440 Dilithium.
Once every 24 hours, the first spotlight mission completed in that time frame will get a scaling amount of Energy Credits, based on the player's level.

Looks like potentially more dil, but looks like marks are being removed.

Shame that, I was just getting ready to spam some of them for Marks. I understanding the meaning, 50 marks/ 30min is excessive - but a daily would certainly help. Seems the options to get FM are becoming more limited, or it's another grind to obtain a functional amount

sigh..... I know it was crazy OP, but I was happy to grind away at a generic Quark mission a few weeks ago, just trying for the last ship I plan on buying (A fleet Excel). Now they shoot back... fair, yes, but time consuming, and it looks like FM will be harder to get too. With no epic storylines until the next season, and dailies taking a lot longer, I'm getting a bit discouraged.

It would appear that the options for getting "the next tier" are becoming somewhat limited. As far as I can tell, if one were to do this "free", it would require endless FM grinding (not a problem before, now... it is more so) for the FC, that would give, say the Oddy class. Anything beyond that would be Module based or Zen based. This would require dilithium conversion, requiring endless dilithium grinding. It is the way it was before, but it seems these ships and anything beyond the Ad,LH level free ship is going to become much harder to obtain. Luckily, I still have my token, and bought a Mirror Star Cruiser from the Exchange.

My opportunity to upgrade this will be a long time coming.

However, that is not to speak out of turn - but is that essentially the crux of FTP?

I tend to think that most non-lockbox ships are reasonably priced. You get a perfectly adequate ship at level 40 free, and while it's not top of the line it'll serve you. Then you can get all the mirror ships dirt cheap off the exchange. They've been in enough lockboxes that there's a fair variety of them, and you can find one to match most any play-style.

"Fleet" Fleet ships: 20k ec, 4 fleet modules, usually. The 20k EC isn't a whole lot, no matter how you look at it. 4 fleet modules is a bit pricy, 2k zen if you buy them from the fleet store. But "only" 20m EC if you buy them off the exchange. Tour the universe can give you over a million for an hour, a farming foundry mission caps out at around 800k. You should be able to save up enough for the fleet modules in about a month if you play an hour a day. That's grindy, but not excessively so.

Non-"Fleet" fleet ships, the 200k ones, are potentially worse with this change, most of the fleet events really don't provide that many marks. But even without marks, you can get 200k FC with 200k dil, which is less than a month at 8k/day, assuming no other contribution except dil.

c-store ships, playing for free, are pretty similar. If you hit your dil cap daily, it should take about a month to get a single 2500 zen ship using only one character at current exchange prices.

In the grand scheme of grinding, a month for a top of the line ship doesn't seem unreasonable. The overly-expensive offerings are lockbox ships, which run 60-80m on the exchange or an average of 200+ million statistically if you open boxes yourself.

I find the rep system crap far more grindy.

I think that's the thing - I'm currently (having been playing for 2months) at the stage where I'm grinding for everything. As I'm a newbie to the fleet, I thought I'd contribute and also earn the FC to move towards an Oddy, as it would provide a bit of a bonus. True, the Dilithium can be reached ok, the repetitiveness is something to bear with!

Yeah, grinding isn't really fun, I agree.

On another note, I would recommend you set your goals on something other than the fleet store odyssey. I believe that requires a tier V shipyard, and we're currently tier III. At our rate of progression tier V is a long, LONG way off. It'd take you less time to save up dil to convert to zen for the oddy three-pack.

Haha - can you tell I'm relatively new then? Most likely, this will be the best option to grind Zen/ Dil. And heck, I love my MU Star Cruiser

Yah, I shouldn't whine about it, it's only fair I guess. Even so, far too easy to become a wallet warrior in this and way too many other games. Counterpoint to that is the free Ambassadors they just gave out... the refit is slightly better than my stock assault cruiser, so I guess it goes both ways.

We're a LONG way off from the Fleet Oddy but a Fleet Excel is currently available and that's a grand cruiser! I love it! Can take it and dish it out.

I got a Fleet Nebula with our teir 3 ship yard and is good Sci vessal but the ship iv been usinf most latly is axally the one i got for free at 40 with lots of good stuff. i do love my nebula and my C store define that can cloak their great ships but you don't need a speacial one to still have a good ship. and it look like you still get good exp and dilth from the mission Fleet marks can still be gotten from the PVE missions pretty easy esp the ground PVE ones.

They're upping the fleet marks for various missions to compensate for the loss of marks for officer reports. Here's the tribble patch notes:

    Fleet Marks:

    • No-Win Scenario:

      • Increased the rewards for rounds 4, 5 and 6 from 5/8/13 to 10/18/28 respectively.
      • This increases Fleet Mark rewards by 30.

    • The following events now grant an additional 30 Fleet Marks.

      • Colony Invasion
      • Starbase Blockade
      • Starbase Fleet Defense
      • Starbase Incursion

    • Starbase Alert now grants an extra 10 Fleet Marks each time an enemy wave is defeated for the first 3 waves.
    • Azure Nebula rescue now grants twice as many Fleet Marks.
    • Defera invasion missions:

      • Easy missions now grant 13 Fleet Marks.
      • Medium missions now grant 25 Fleet Marks.
      • Hard missions now grant 60 Fleet Marks.

    • Nukara missions:

      • Easy missions now grant 13 Fleet Marks.
      • Medium missions now grant 25 Fleet Marks.
      • Hard missions now grant 60 Fleet Marks.

    • Mine Trap now grants an extra 30 Fleet Marks upon completion.
    • Added 50 Fleet Marks to each of the PVP daily wrappers:

      • Raze Enemy Headquarters (Daily)
      • Raze Enemy Secret Headquarters (Lt. General - Daily)
      • Dominate the Heroes of the Enemy (Daily)
      • Dominate the Leaders of the Enemy (Lt. General - Daily)
      • Claiming Enemy Reserves (Daily)
      • Claiming Enemy Emergency Reserves (Lt. General - Daily)
      • Reclaim the Neutral Zone (Daily)
      • Restore the Neutral Zone (Vice Admiral - Daily)
      • Into the Fray (Daily); To the Front Lines (Vice Admiral - Daily)
      • Pacify Enemy Heroes (Daily)
      • Pacify Enemy Leaders (Vice Admiral - Daily)
