I got the doff from a dominion prisoner exchange assignment. I knew it was really rare, I saw a post about someone who pulled a purple consultant from the new doff pack trying to trade it right after the packs went live. They were asking for a couple different vorta doffs, as well as things like temporal ships. But I couldn't find a real price on it.
There were none on the exchange, I asked around but got no replies. Even posted on the forums to see if anyone knew what it was worth. Nothing.
So I just stuck it on the exchange for 75m, which was a bit more than the most expensive chef currently listed (a cardassian). That expired, and I relisted for 65m. When that expired a few days ago I stuck it back up for 55. And, well, it sold.
The funny thing is I really have no idea what to spend the EC on. I mean, there's like purple MK XII consoles, but spending tens of millions for an extra 2% or something just seems wasteful. None of the lockbox ships really seems all that appealing to me. Either they're just plainly not something I'm interested in flying or else there's a non-lockbox ship I like better. So yeah, no idea currently.

ROFL - that's why I quit grinding so hard for EC... if I keep an account balance of around 12 million that's usually enough (above and beyond what each character has in their individual account). But it's still a heck of a deal! The bragging rights alone are worth it heheheheh.

I already dump tons of doffs into the the starbase, but the doffs aren't really the bottleneck. Dil and fleet marks are. For example, the upgrade we've got going now that needed 240 doffs, I think donated like 130-ish of them. But we've still not filled up the marks or dil.
Besides, to be honest I've got well over 500 thousand fleet credits and still can't even spend them. So going out of my way to dump even more stuff into the starbase projects for more fleet credits I'm not allowed to spend just seems a little bit absurd.
