Greetings I'm fleet Admiral Danto Director of Intel welcome to your inquisi....interview. You say you like to cook what is your favorite thing to cook? Also who are your favorite Star trek and Fire fly characters?

Well, I like how your fleet is helpful in answering questions. I was asking people for help after not being able to find the answer through in game help or after viewing several webpages. One of you fleet members took the time to answer my basic question.

As for food, I love to try cooking new styles off food then putting my own spin on them.

Last week I, i tried making an undon noodle soup for the first time. I followed a traditional japanise recipe the first time. But the second time I made my own.
For the soup I used a beef broth to deglaze the pot I had cooked the onions, galic, and beef in. Then i add my red skin potato chunks. cooked them slightly then added the broth. Finished cooking the potatoes, then add diced tomatoes, baby back choi (spelling), and spices. Once that was cooked i put over the cooked and cooled udon noddles. Udon noodles are thick and chewy wheat noodles from japan.

Friday of this week I made a killer blackened shrimp salad. I put skinned British cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes, radish, 4 bean salad, seared blacken tofu, avocado, mixed salad greens, blacken Shrimp. Then i topped it with a little blue cheese dressing. Note i use 6 / 8 count shrimp. Cooked they are the size of your palm and on the thick end 1 1/2 inches thick.

i really love this game from what i have seen. I enjoy how it has both ship and personnel areas. As for role playing, well only experience i have with that, is between me and my girl friend. I can't say i have tried it in games.

I am going to have to make like a photo account somewhere so you can see the food. I mainly send them to friends.

Hmmmmm I will seen what I can do on here. So who are you favorite Firefly and star trek character?

Firefly, Well being from the really small state of Del-A-Where, at its thinnest like 9 miles wide. We host a Firefly music festival that is kinda crazy. I think over 100,000 people came last year. So when you say Firefly. That is what i means to me. DOH! LOL

As for Star Trek, I enjoyed Riker, and Seven of Nine the best.

Hello I' m Fleet admiral Dekkar Martel welcome to Serenity. you said you met one of the fleet in the game and they helped you out do you remember who that was? sound like your a good cook good skill to have i have a few good recipes of my moms i can make but not much a cook Replicators have made that a lost art. how long you been playing?

I was curious with your udon it sounds like you made the soup style, But have you ever tried stir fried yaki udon ? Its alot better that way at least to me.. and its a traditional style as well .

so have you never seen or heard of the show firefly??

i have been playing about 10 days now. Of course i remember who helped me it was Stravik.
I have not tried the stir fried udon yet. How long do you stir fry just the noodles?

well there are 2 ways to do it,

first and the easy way is boil water, turn the water off and put the noodles in for about 10 mins, then while your got your meat and what ever veggies you like in your stir fry with either yaki udon sauce or your own much like i do (i generally use pork and shrimp) you strain your noodles and add them to your stir fry for only about 2 mins to get them a lil tostey and the sauce nice and covered


the second way takes a lil more caution but can also have a bit more flavor, you fry everything together for about 15 mins on a high heat while keeping everything moving constaintly, just check your noodles to make sure they are cooked good and what ever if any meat you use is done .
now only bad thing to this method is sometimes if you over cook the noodles they can get a more sticky or slimmy texture , still taste fine but you just gotta be careful.

this is yaki udon ( yaki means fried and udon is a thick rice noodle). some restraunts sell yaki udon thats not fried which doesnt make sense because yaki means to fry lol

mmm i think i am going to have to do those udon noodles this week stir fry. I am thinking a sweet teraki and sake sauce. (one of my roomates can't eat spicy food). for veggies i thinking summer squash, portabella mushrooms (might render some into a stock for the sauce), snow peas, i like the red peppers, fresh ginger, garlic, green onions, and some thinly sliced pork shoulder strips. I will add some mirini at the end and glaze the stir fry.

You know I think if we had replicators in real life I would always be finding excuses for them to go off line... messing about with cooking can be so much fun! What we need is replicators to make other stuff so we have time to mess about with cooking instead of doing proper work! I don't usually eat Japanese or Chinese food but those noodles sound delicious and you've got me wanting to try them..

and seeker, idk most ive cooked for was about 2000 people at once... tho was 3 times a day.. still thats a big galley, an entire space station for a whole fleet.... ummm how about just the senior staff!?

~My take on Udon Noodle Stir Fry!~

Looks alright, but tastes great! Cubed chicken breast, lots of minced garlic, Fresh Shatake Mushrooms, Chinese Eggplant, and Leeks. I Stir fried the meat and vegetables together in a mixture of Sesame oil, Teraki sauce, soy sauce, and Mirini. I glazed the noodles in the same mixture and then added them to the meat and veggies.
It is Dinner! Yum! See the pic in the gallery. it is not let me insert.

It tastes GREAT!!!!

Well I made a wonderful dinner today. Pasta with pesto sauce, shrimp, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, peppers, sun dried tomatoes, feta cheese, green olives, Mediterranean olives all sautéed with pesto and Greek spices topped with freshly graded Romano cheese. I posted the pics of the "Shrimp" and the dish in my personal photo album.
