    Tribbles...

Post by Ikari_Zaku on Fri Jan 22, 2010 7:16 pm

Does anybody else think we should be able to beam Tribbles about Klingon ships while in combat as a sort of chaos buff, or is it just me? I know they help regenerate health on away missions and that's all well and good, but we could have some real fun with the "Beam Tribbles Aboard" buff. Maybe it's just me though.

I think it's a 'cute' idea. But doing it all the time will make it a 'cliche' idea. I think it would be a great idea for one or two missions where you were given the option if you completed a certain task beforhand.

Well, if it were done the way I'm thinking it should be done it would only work against Klingons and there should be a percent chance that the enemy crew would react and then some percent chance at how much chaos it would cause. Plus I've only run across four Tribbles so far, from my limited perspective it seems like they are not overly plentiful in the game. But you are right, it would become too cliche quickly. I was just thinking it could be a secondary use for them is all.

Is there an actual use for them? Maybe they are a weapon and the little icon just isnt available yet.

If you give them to your Bridge Officers, on away missions they heal (slowly). I about fell out of my chair when I caught my Tactical Officer petting it in the middle of a firefight on Starbase 24.

I use one to heal up in battle sometimes. The little buggers are plum useful when you run out of hyposprays.

Lol, those little things are so funny. You run around in ground combat with some high level enemies and you constantly hear Tribble Chatter, and see people petting them. I'm actually guilty myself, got three in my inventory, I like to have variety in my tribble selection.

OMG They really eat all your food and stuff? Thats awesome, and hilarious. A nice trek bit of humour there. xD Wonder what the pre-order tribbles from Best Buy do. I bought the pre-order from there (along with the atari one).

I wonder if Klingons loose health, or accuracy if they have a tribble... xD

Hand them to a Klingon bridge officer and watch the tribble shriek in terror, lol. Of course it's even more stranger to watch your borg officer do it. I swear, I took that tribble away from her to make more and the damn thing won't eat anything. I think she sterilized it.

*&%$$@#**!!! I have been trying to figure out why my BOs would sometimes eat or drink something I just gave them, and now I see it's those Tribbles! We'll be overflowing with the things!

Well my question is how do I get rid of them..... you can't sell them, they aren't worth anything. I have like 15 of them in my bank, luckly I have no food in there. Now it makes sence about the BO's, I had the same problem of them eating something as soon as I gave it to them.

Gettin rid of them is easy, just flush'em all out the airlock and watch them float away in to the black... and go "pop."

Haha.. true. See if any of the tribbles have special abilities. If they do, sell them on the exchange.

You wouldn't believe the market there is for those suckers. Get the right one, and you got yourself 20k. Get a normal one, best to flush it out the airlock; that or breed it with some food.

I put the healing ones on the exchange for 10 credits. Yes they do sell surprisingly. Ive breed a few damage ones, but I dont know what I fed them...

Dont toss them into space, take them with you to a planet and release them. Its more humane.

Awww, but Tribbles who end up eating my Tricobalt devices in them make nice minefields. Better to have them do a duty then end up making craters on the ground Razz
